Dear friend,
I had not wore gloves and the cold here is much adjustable and moreover when I had been Delhi, and other north eastern States of India I had to wear gloves. I too feel uncomfortable to wear it and mostly I avoid it and if I feel it is too necessary only I may have to put it.

I do wear gloves, but it is rare where I live, the climate even in the winter is normally warm.

Wow. Please stop sending your cold weather to where I live. LoL! I don't like wearing gloves, because I cannot use my cell phone properly, so when I try to press a 2 it registers as I was trying to hit the 5 or 8 a lot of times. It can become very annoying and even more so tedious. AND on top of that, my gloves are more like stylish type gloves and do not keep my hands as warm as some other leather gloves I used to wear. Those things were like little hand saunas, the only thing was they were bulky looking, so I chose style and easy flexibility over warmth and ugly.
It was interesting, I was trying to walk and press numbers all at once, and nothing registered on the phone except the down menu scroll button, but the name of the person I was dialing started with an K, so it was gonna take literally forever to get there. I gave up, and just waiting until I got home. It is around 35 degrees here, so again, please stop sending your weather this way, LoL, yesterday it was in the higher 40's.

I live in Australia so right now it is quite hot. Our winters do get a little chilly and because I walk my daughter to school in the mornings we both wear wool gloves to keep warm. It is hard to imagine now though because it so hot!

hi,
Ho No, It is damn cold isn't it? How you people managing, iam in INDIA , so climatic conditions are okay here, its sort of snowy 1% i will say, with this itself we are not able to manage here, how come you get adjusted to such a cool atmosphere. I guess you people are so great, i may give you one tips, try having hot coffee or tea often, and regarding gloves , as i said , it is not really required in my part. But i have seen few people wearing gloves at the day time while riding two-wheeler, to protect their hands across sun-radiation and to preserve their complexion ,

I'm in the UK. When we get sun radiation, (a rare event) we dash outside and spread ourselves out to take advantage of the rays

Yes, I usually wear gloves and I'd certainly do so if it was -7 It really depends though if I have to carry something, like shopping. If I do, then I'd wear gloves because the hand I that I was using to carry the shopping bag would get very cold otherwise. If I don't have to carry something, then I might just put my hands in my pockets to keep them warm. If I'm cycling in cold weather though, wearing gloves is an absolute must otherwise my hands would be frozen in no time.

I wore mittens yesterday and they did not do a darn thing, the wind still blew through and my hands were cold. My husband said that I should use his gloves even though they are a bit large because it is so cold outside and I have to get more groceries. So you have a choice wear gloves or get frost bite and chilblains. So I would go with gloves even if they are uncomfortable right now. I hate freezing my hands off.

It's -20 celsius right now where I am and has been cold like that (or colder) for almost a month straight. I have been wearing gloves every time I go outside but I find it quite challenging to drive with them on, my hands seem to slip right off the wheel! I think I may need a pair with some grip on them.

Hmmmm , depends on the kind of work i am doing.
I would love to when i wsahing the wc. Would not care to wear when i am doing dishes because the dishes tend to slip.
It is winter at my place too, still i would not wear gloves when i go out for a walk, because i would love to rub my hands together & blow hot air into them. But if i am driving i will not not venture out without gloves, stiff hand give me a scare while driving.
Given a choice would avoid them as they inhibit the sense of touch.

if you're talking about knitted gloves, i wouldn't mind if i'm in a cold country. But i normally go without it.
But if you're talking about those yellow rubber kitchen gloves. Well i absolutely hate them. It makes my palms even more sweaty because there isn't any air ventilation & it sticks to my skin somehow. And when i remove them, they make my hands stink. So i avoid wearing them.

Here where I live in the deep south it gets cold enough sometimes that you can wear a pair of gloves. It is usually when it snows which is rare. I did put on a pair of gloves for a very short time during Christmas when it was a little cold and we were walking looking at Christmas lights. I used to wear them as a chid when I would stand outside to wait for the school bus and I would always lose one or both of them. I do like to wear gloves.

If I lived in a place where it is -7 degrees, I would sure wear gloves even if they're uncomfortable! That's COLD!! Here, it doesn't usually get below 25 degrees, so I normally do not need to wear them. I just use my pockets if my hands are cold. Our winters are mostly around 40 degrees.
