Why not buy a 1GB or 2GB RAM stick to accomply the 512mb? then you would have a good amount of RAM for XP.
16MB on a video card is extremely low, you won't be playing top games on your new computer. My computer has 4GB of RAM and the video card has 512MB and even I struggle to run some new games.

I that the video RAM is part of the video card, but I might be wrong about that, I'm not entirely sure.

hey ....u need to improve ur computer's video card ....
i suggest u a idea if u want to play good game ...even if u upgrade ur computers hardware... will be outdated soon.....so go for PS3 or X box....these things are good ..
it can guarantee u for 4 yrs of service to run all the games ...
the top games are released first in PS3 and X box 360
so go for it....but u want to upgrade ur system ...then u should do constantly...for every 2 yrs u hav to upgrade ....
