Credit card is sort of a blessing in disguise! It saves you when you ran out of cash, but at the same time it can tempt you to max out to buy things that you don't really need. I only have 1 credit card, and I'm not planning of having another anytime soon. They say it's hard if you have a credit card because you will be hard to control the urge to splurge things, quite true enough, but when this hits me, I always think of how much interest I'll be paying for the next bill. That's just something I don't want my money to be spend on. I never maxed out my card and I'd like to keep it that way. If there's anything I really want to buy, I can deprive myself, once in awhile. It's not that bad after all.

I control it by not having one.

I normally sign card only to get the points since I don't like to have any credit card debt. It'll make me feel very uncomfortable. I will pay the amount right away every time the statements show up. Also, I only sign when I have no cash on my hand or I'm paying something expensive. That way, I can keep track of the amount of money I spend easily.
