My son started preschool this year and ever since August when he started we have all been getting sick a lot. It normally starts with him and then myself or the baby will get it and then my husband. Just recently they had a two week break from school for the Christmas holidays. We were all fine. He got sick within the first week of going back to school and now we are all sick again. A friend of mine says it is the same way with her son. Does this usually happen? I dont remember getting sick that much when i was in school.

For my granddaughter too...she goes to daycare and preschool and always has a runny nose or something. She hasn't had the flu yet....but she got ear infection again even after putting tubes in her ears....but I think it's because the kids interact so much...

*Cough Cough* I know what you mean. The same thing happens around here. Over Christmas we all got over whatever we had, and then low and behold, My son(4)started back at school last week, and sure enough we are all getting something again. My daughter who is 10, attends the same school, and we never really got sick at all, but it seems like my son likes bringing home the germs for us !

I have a two year old boy who suffers with severe bronchitis, which is associated with Asthma and other respiratory infections. I find it to be the opposite though, he never gets sick from Child Care, or any playgroups that he attends, it is the family members who get a bug or a cold and he ends up much sicker than everyone in the household, usually resulting in a hospital stay. I do not remember every getting that sick when I was a child, from school or anywhere for that matter. It seems nowadays kids seem to pick up bugs from everywhere, I wander.....could it be the climate change that has become a major problem these days?
