What Do You Enjoy About the Winter?

I love when it snows and it's all sparkly fairy snow. I love how fluffy everything looks. I love the way everything looks after an ice storm. I love the wicked look of icicles. I love to see my kids tackle the snow or rip down a hill on their sleds. I love the way our dog eats up as much snow as possible and comes inside covered from head to paw. I go out on our front deck when it's snowing to watch the different snowflakes land on the wooden railing of the deck. It's amazing, each snowflake really is different. I love the way it smells outside, so crisp, so cold, so clean and clear! But my all time favorite thing about Winter is this. It's the way the trees look. They're all bare and their silhouettes against the sky are truly breath taking. The trees branches are like veins. They look awesome covered in a fluffy snow or absolutely dazzling when glistening with ice, but I love them best when they're not covered with anything. I can look out my window at night during a Full Moon and see the shadow of tree branches on the smooth, white, snow covered yard. Not a sight you get to see every evening! I've tried taking pictures but they never turn out. I guess they're not meant to. Some things are only meant to be lived in the moment. I just love looking out the windows and seeing the trees against the sky, they are such an incredible, gorgeous sight. My absolutely favorite thing of Winter and the only thing that keeps me sane during all this bitter cold (although my hot chocolate and favorite blanket help a lot too).

i enjoy skiing in the winter time, i also like having a snow ball fight with my daughter. what i don't like is shovelling the driveway

Hi there Shar19 Well here in the UK we don't really have a problem with the snow but sometimes I wish we did. I love the snow and would love to get outside with kids for a snowball fight and make a snowman and snow angels!! At the moment we have got rain, rain and more rain but it has been cold, freezing in fact. It was nice to get all wrapped up and walk in the crisp grass and air. It is nice to come out of the cold into a nice warm house. I also like to go to bed at night with my hot water bottle and watch tv all snuggly and warm. What I hate is getting out of bed in the morning!!

Well, I guess I'm not that keen on winter but I have to say, I do love the sound of the wind! When I am sitting in my favourite chair and I am reading a good book the wind is there keeping me company, whistling away! My fingers are literally falling off as I type at my computer but I put up with this. I think to myself that summer is right around the corner, this is always my hope! Andrew

Not much! I hate feeling cold! I suffer from rheumatism and that does not help. I do enjoy snuggling in front of the wood fire with a hot drink and a good book and there is nothing like getting into bed when the electric blanket has been on and it is beautiful and warm as well as the sound of the rain on our tin roof. I would like to say I love the snow but I live in Australia and we are on the coast so it never snows here. If it did that would definitely be one thing I love about winter.

I can't compete with Rowan for words. So I'll go the other direction. No spiders or other biting things. No hot, muggy days. I can get more done inside because I'm not walking through the timber constantly. I can cook all day without stifling in the heat from it. If the power goes out, I can hang the meat outside and it will stay frozen. Reasons to watch tv, without feeling guilty.

I like watching the snowflakes and like you curling up with cocoa on the sofa and getting cozy with the blanket. Since I am no longer into outdoor winter sports like I used to be I suppose I have less appreciation for it now than before. I live in Colorado and our economy depends on it for winter tourism so I like that part of it to boost our economy here locally. I just do not like to drive in it and I am lucky I don't have that far to go to work. I start missing the warm weather about in Feb.

I like snow which could make all things white.It is very very beautiful.I like playing with snow that is intresting.But i think i do not like the temperature in winter.It is so cold that i often have a cold.It's not a good thing.

Hi, We have just around 3 months of winter season . Most of our year has oppressive Heat or rainy season. So , we like the coming of winters ,True;we have a brief spell of extreme-Chilly winter in the place where we live . Otherwise; we like the Pleasant afternoons , Soothing Winter sun , the Hot Cups of Tea and Coffee and the time we spent in our Quilts . Regards -Sweety_81

We don't have winter here in the Philippines, but it's really cold lately. It's normally not this cold, but there's a cold front coming our way every day which is great! Yay! The weather is really nice, perfect in fact if I may say so. It's not too dry because we still have rain sometimes, but it's not humid and sticky at all. I wish the weather would stay this way, but the news says that it'll be very hot come February.

I like winter. in my country the temperature never goes under 6 degree so its like heaven. but u cant go outside in this weather. i cant caught a cold for that. ha ha ha

The best thing about the winter is the fresh, cool breeze that blows. That is the thing I like the most. Everybody in my family sleeps witheir windows closed during the night in the winter, but I am the olny one who is not bothered about the wind . I love the wind and I keep the windows open and sleep.

I was born in November, in winter. I love winter, I like walking in the cold outside. When the snow fall down, enjoying the white, magical outside, so beautiful, if the snow is heavy, when you walk in the snow, the sound is so interesting. Playing outside in the snow yard, wonderful.

I like eating the hot pot in winter. And i am willing to see the snow,too.But it is pity that I have never seen very thick snow,and i have never had a snowball fight.

Well it doesn't get very cold here where I live but on the odd occassion where it's chilly I love to get all rugged up under jumpers and blankets and hot water bottles. It's also nice to cuddle up on the couch with blankets a movie and my man..and a couple of cats!

i only like the trees changing the cold weather i can do with out it.my bones hurt so bad during the winter i really thinking about moving to a warm climate.i like looking at the snow though.but all the freezing and rain i can,t handle it i have arthiris

NOTHING!!! I Hate winter, cold, and snow. I hate it that we live in Indiana and it is very frigid here now. 10 degrees!! I am freezing and we are all sick with a stomach virus. I just wish that I was back in Texas. I grew up there and loved it. My husband is there right now , he is a truck driver, and he called me last night telling me how warm it is in Loredo!

yeah,I like winter very much because we can see the bright white snow everywhere,the moutains,the trees and grasses,even the road,it's a good experience to walk on the road with a thick layer of snow,the squeaks beteen your foot and the ground sounds peacefully and comfortable.I really enjoy the winter times but now I can hardly see snow here because I left my hometown for years and this is a warm place here now

As I am a child, I like the winter .Because it snows when winter come and I can play with the snow,it's so happy that I forgot the cold weather .Now I don't like the winter as before,for I don't play the snow as a child and suddenly I find the weather is so cold that I don't want to go out,espesially in the north.So I think the feel about the winter can change with person's age,do you agree with me?

I like the snow falling in winter.Its purely a great,beautiful and so much romantic weather also. When white snow falls everyone hearts start beating slowly. and then if Christmas is near it is more applaude in the market or somewhere else. and hills,mountains,houses becomes an image of paradise. and the smart wearing of the people in which they look more attractive the ever before.....! so Enjoy Ur Winter Warmly And Enjoy Urself.
