Yes, I listen to music a lot when I am typing. If it's a fast beat I think it may actually speed up my typing. For some reason if I am listening to slow music it totally messes up my 80 WPM though and makes me make spelling mistakes. I really don't know why. It's like I try to type fast but I am skipping over differant letters to stay with the slow beat.

It depends, when my son is home from school the tv is on cartoon network, and if it is just me and my daughter I will have the tv on and I can put it on the music channels which she seems to enjoy...LOL

Sometimes - it depends on my mood, I guess. There are days when I prefer quiet, or the TV on. Then, there are days when the music really helps pep me up and stay on track with my to do list. :-)

I like to listen to music too when I type stuff here on Mylot, but I never let that interfere or compromise with the quality of what I contribute here to the discussions. This is because I take time to think of the response that I'm coming up with, and I double check my response before I post them. Listening to music is just to keep my mind moving and as a form of entertainment while I get about participating here. I'm pretty OK with my grammar and all aspects of the English language, so yeah, it's quite low in probability that I will make any errors in my post, except typos.....

Yes, I do. As a matter of fact, right now as I am posting this response, the music is on the background. I love music, but not those that are very noisy to hear. I love soft music and classical music

Definitely not. Listenning to music is not contradictory to typing. Don't worry about the grammer things, language is language. You are expressing yourself while you are typing. Grammer is not a problem.

I would like to. I used to do that a lot when I was using my old PC. Now I am moving and rent a room, so I haven't move my PC yet. Once I have got my desktop back on work, I would never be online without the music around me anymore. I would get lots of inspiration from the music I heard when i was online.
Actually, it was because I have different music interest, so that to avoid the argument about the music playlist, we would rather have no music at all in the room. LOL.
