hi all!
almost everybody owns a TV set. TVs are considered one of the integral parts of human leisure and entertainment. of course, there are some very discerning people and they want the best TV technology ever.
in my case, any TV would do (flat screen or conventional "bulky" television) as long as the picture quality is good, the screen has a nice size and is sturdy.
in your case, setting aside financial limitations, would you buy an LCD TV or an old-fashioned bulky TV?
thanks and happy mylotting!

Most probably i would buy an LCD TV. The old-fashioned TV are now very much less popular then the LCD ones and even they dont cost much but still people are buying LCD TVs.
There are other TVs like Plasma besides LCD, TFT and these are being sold more than the old fashioned TV.

I would prefer LCD any day. LCD TVs are not really expensive nowadays and they are valued at around the same price as traditional TVs of the 1990s or early 2000s. I prefer LCD because it has HDMI and really saves up on electricity, and not much radiation and static as compared to standard TVs. Also, it saves up a lot of space and this is particularly useful to me since my living room is not really spacious.

i am planning to buy a LCD one. influenced by economical crisis, the price of LCD here is decreasing and buying it now is very profitable.besides, the picture and sound of LCD is much better than conventional one.

Considering that so much is broadcast in letterbox format these days, I would have to go with LCD/Plasma or a big screen rear projection TV. Setting aside the obvious downfalls of the older sets which have already been mentioned, the picture is distorted or barely there when you watch something aired in letterbox format.
