When I was young, I always wish that my mum would subscribe to an english newspaper instead of the native language one (Chinese). Now I have grown up. I have subscribe to English newspaper, yet I hardly spend much time on reading instead the newspaper main purpose seems to be my pets' toilet.
When it is weekend, I would normally look for the advertisement to see which shopping center have discount or any cut out from newspaper can be redeemed to get free movie ticket. I guess that is the purpose I subscribe to newspaper.
So, do you read newspaper? What section you go for in newspaper?

Hi Cocooreo, I like to read newspaper, when I have my free time go out to buy the newspaper and come home to read. I like to read the big news first, then I will read my local news, after that I will read the entertainment part, at last I will read the economy part.

Nope not all. I used to deliver the newspapers at a younger age, about a decade and a half ago. Those were really fun memories, and I missed them. I used to read the newspaper then, but only for the comics and coupons, never for the news articles. We used to get a free newspaper as a result of working for the distribution center. Now I watch the news on television and I also read the news online. Primarily only the lead stories that show up on my homepage of Yahoo. I rarely check the news website of the local paper that I used to deliver though.

i didn't touch newspaper till my 12th std. But now i have come to a conclusion that i have to read it daily to know what,s happening around me, that too in english (international language)to develop my vocabulary by which i get two benefits. To avoid myself getting bored, i read the sports column first, secondly about newly disovered or invented things and then politics.

I do read and more than one newspaper. It is habit some more-than-fity-years old.i am not supposed to criticise your attitude towards newspaper. So can only say I don't approve it.
As one of the participants has said, internet is better than a n.p.,, to find the latest developments, no doubt.I too have started availing it recently. But how many people can avail it/afford it?
I used to get n.p. at my residence ever since I started living independently. So my children too have developed the habit of reading it. But they are not interested in politics as I am. They read some other news.Sports is another topic I regularly watch.

I don't read the newspaper I prefer to read it online. When I was younger my grandparents got the newspaper and every Tuesday the paper would put in special page for children it was called the mini page. Just basically a fun page for kids like connecting the dots and find a word a long with a couple of jokes and also a recipe. With a front page with some news written in a way that us kids could understand. So it made me feel special every Tuesday because it made me feel like I had my own little paper.

Now magazines I read. Maybe it’s because of the pictures, the featured stories, or
maybe it is the format. Magazines are easier to handle. The print is larger and usually the quality of the paper used is much better.I like tactile feel of high quality magazines.Plus the pictures are better on better quality paper.

I read newspaper daily .I subscribe one native language(Bengali) and one English newspaper.I read newspaper from my boyhood. It's my habit.Newspaper's main purpose is to serve news and it's ment for news.If you don't read news it's useless to subscribe a newspaper. My advice and request to you read news and make it habit.I think once you will be addicted to newspaper. If you know daily affairs of your country and of the world you will be a up to date person. Thanks a lot.

Hey,
I myself do not really read the newspaper very often. This could be because we don't actually order or subscribe to buy a newspaper daily. Although you can buy ones, where I live they send you a newpaper every week for free. Happy MyLotting!

My mom doesn't like reading the newspaper, so we don't have them on weekdays.
On weekends, however--when dad's home--I usually get in a battle with him with who gets the headlines first. I simply read what interests me, namely gadgets and movies. All else I don't really bother with.
Happy myLotting!
