I saw this movie on lifetime the other day called hit and run. This mother of two kids was driving down the road trying to look for something in her car and not paying attetion to the road and hit this little girl on her bike. She called the cops all upset and let them know that she hit this little girl didn't give her name or anything then took off. At the end of the movie the little girl died. I was wondering if you ever hit a person on the road would you stay there with them and call the cops or would you do a hit and run like this lady did? I know if I hit someone I would be so upset and of course I would stay there until the cops got there tell them what happened and deal with the consquense.

I would be frightened and worried, but I would definitely stay! If I really hurt someone, I would be holding their hand and trying my best to comfort them until help arrived. Unless I'm drunk, I'm not likely to get in a lot of trouble for an accident - unless I was clearly being reckless while driving.
I can't figure out why people don't understand that running only makes it worse - THAT'S when the real trouble starts. If you leave the scene of an accident, it only makes you look guilty.

There is no doubt in my mind that if I hit someone I would stop and the first thing I would do is see how badly the person is hurt. I also would call the cops because it would not be right for me to leave the scene of the accident. And this is even if the person was killed. My Mom and Dad raised us kids with a conscience and I would be frightened of course of what will happen but that doesn't change the fact that I would stay there and take the consequences whatever they would be.

Hey,
I honestly think that I wouldn't do the hit and run thing. I would never run away or anything, I normally feel sorry if I would hit a person. I don't know about anyone else but this is how I feel anywayz. Happy Lotting!

Hi,I am uncertain when such a thing happen on me,how will I do.Because I had certainly already feared very much at that time. But to stay and call the cops is the wise way.

i will definitely stay... i will feel very guilty if i leave the accident scene... especially if i know later that i had killed the victim... i wouldn't be able to live in peace after that... staying and admitting about my mistake will make me feel better even though i have to bear the consequences... take care and have a nice day...

scary thought.. and i hope i would have to go thru' something like that...
but i would stay to make sure that the person gets help.. or if i could - i would drive the person to the nearest doctor myself..
being a mom.. i know if my child was hit.. i would be relieved to know that someone, especially the person who hit my child stayed and tried to get help for my child, instead of running away..

I would be terrified but I'm sure I would stay there until the police arrrived. If you are caught leaving the scene or they find out it was you you will serve time in jail, but besides that it just would be the right thing to do. You would want someone to be there with you if you were fighting for your life.

This is a situation that would be horrible to have to live through. I would stay with her though and try to help her. Dealing with consequences isn't going to be fun, but it would seem that it would be easier if you have a manslaughter charge verses being caught and getting a charge of hit and run on top of it.

If ever that happened to me, i maybe gonna stay and call the help or cops to send the girl to the hospital and also i face the consequences. That's would be better for me than being hunted every night and i can't sleep because of guilt.
Happy posting and myloting.

Are you talking about the new movie "Hit and Run"? I thought it's a horror film. I'm not sure. I think i wouldn't run away. It will be disturbing my conscience if ever i run away then leave the girl. Like you, i guess i'll just have to face the consequence because i think it is the better way than living a life away from the cops.

I would definately stick around. I think that a hit and run is one of the most cowardly things that a person can do. When I was nine years old, I was hit by a car. Now the accident was my fault as I dashed into the street from between two parked cars. The driver didn't even have a chance to see me. I was very lucky, the guy stayed with me and got someone to call the police right away. I broke my leg and was in the hospital for a long time with an even longer recovery out of the hospital. My parents decided that because it wasn't the guys fault that they wouldn't press charges and I am glad that they didn't. The guy wasn't speeding or anything and he was man enough to stick around. Unfortunately not everyone is as good and kind as this guy and they take off. I have no respect for anyone who would do that to another person.

That is a sad story for sure. I have seen something like that before. I am not sure if I saw the same story you did but I know that I would stop if I accidentally hit someone.
There is no point in running away and it would be the humane thing to do. I don't think I could live with myself for not stopping and telling the authorities right away.

I saw that movie. It was sad. I wouldn't leave the scene though. Its suspicious that way. Cops would be able to determine if it were an accident. It would make me shaky but i wouldn't leave. I would stay there and wait for help. Or even get the victim in my vehicle and rush them to the hospital myself.
