It's so darn cold here I really don't feel like doing anything. This morning my car wouldn't start so had to have it jumped before I could even go do errands. It's supposed to continue for another two days before it warms up to above zero. It's makeing me crabby! Does changes in weather sometimes change your mood?

Not really. I am used to it and find things to keep my mind poff the cold for the most part. I just make sure I get out even though it's terribly vcold outside. I can't be geting "cabin fever". Sounds like that is what you may have. A slight case anyhow. I am me and weather does not affect me in reality as far as moods go.
I can't wait though till the weekend arrives with the heat wave of the 20's and 30's for high temps.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

hi jillhill!
well yeah, bad weather does make me feel crabby. but not the cold weather. we live in a tropical country, so we don't get too much cold around here. if the weather does indeed get cool, oh boy, i love it!
what i don't like is really hot and humid weather. that really gets me in a bad mood and my temper really rises. hehe
but to answer your question, yeah, the weather really affects my mood.
take care and God bless you! :-)

Sometimes, I get cabin fever from staying in if its too cold and if stays dark and dreary then your wanting sunshine and that can be effecting your mood too. The weather does have certain effects on our moods.

Yes it does, period.
I feel like going out and then when I go out, I want to go back in, lol! Ugh! I'm not a winter person at all! I can handle it for about a month and then I start going bonkers.
Can't wait for Spring so I can see some grass again and some birds and some flowers and some weeds and some litter flying around. Anything but this, haha!
I can say though, I am getting some much needed work done in the house. I just don't even want to see what my car looks like right now though. It hasn't stopped snowing in days. Blah!

Oh boy was I buried. The snow next to my car by the time I brushed it off was up to my knee's. Absolutely NO FUN.
I couldn't move my car, too much behind me and of course I don't have any shovels here, but I'm going to go and buy one for sure. The plow couldn't get behind my car because of the guy next to me. He has two cars, so parks one behind the other. There was no where to push the snow because of his second car. What a mess. But he ended up helping me get out (parked in a different spot) with a little help from the maintenance guy (who is a real crab!). Oh, I was having just a delightful day.
Then yesterday again, I went and started my car and cleaned off another few inches, everything was all frozen but it started fine.
Today, I had to go out and it almost didn't start. It sounded so tired and worn out, kind of how I feel right now, haha. Warmed it up for almost twenty minutes to make sure it was ok...it was way below 0 today with the wind chill and I froze. I hate when I HAVE to go out. Yuk. Take care. xxoo Sorry this is so long, I just keep rattling on, lol!

It makes me crazy, I guess that is the word for it.. I can't stand to be cooped up in this weather.. I also don't like to have to go out in it, so I am at a loss, going out or staying in, I don't know which is worse.. We are now in the midst of painting the house, inside, thank you, and it is keeping us busy and out of trouble.. My husband cranks the music up really almost too loud and we listen to the oldies station, you know, the one from the 50's and 60's.. It is fun and we stop often to check out our progress or to get lazy for awhile, one or the other.. I figure that it will take us the rest of the Winter to really do a good job of the walls and wood work.. If we finish it before the weather turns warm, we are going to refinish the wood floors, we had taken up the carpet and found the most beautiful wood floors underneath it, but they need to be refinished so they come out the same color.. If we can keep going without killing ourselves, we might make it through the Winter and not have so much work to do in the Spring.. So, as of now, we are too tired to be too crabby..

Hey jill! Unfortunately changes in the weather does sometimes
affect peoples moods! It does sometimes make people cranky
and crabby when the weather is bad out and cold and cloudy
or rainy. It definitely is a mood killer when the sun isn't
shining! I know I feel kind of moody when the weather isn't
real nice out! And it sure hasn't been that great lately.
It has been very cold and cloudy and now more snow is coming
for tomorrow along with the artic air!

The weather doesn't alter my mood. It does however make me wish I lived in a warmer place when the temperatures get down to the single digits! Hopefully my car will start this weekend. The temperature is supposed to be quite frigid! I need my car to get back and forth to work!

We are having a heat wave and I am quite crabby. I wanted to bake today, but the idea of turning on the oven isn't a good idea. A change in weather certainly changes my mood.

The only time in the winter the weather p*sses my off ois when it snows on my birthday or on a day I planned to go out.Other than that, I like the winter as long as it doesn't snow. In the spring and summer, it gets on mjy nerves when it rains when we have planned a to see a baseball or softball game. Or to go out to a festival.

I make a conscious effort to not let myself get crabby when the weather turns dirty because I am disabled to some point and I am a shut in during winter months so I can't afford to get myself in a rut. The winters here are very cold and very long.

I feel the same way.My college is in chengdu, maybe you don't know this city which in the south of China. There is too much cloudy and I can't adjust myself to it. Also,my homework is sunny in most days of one year.So I always feel upset when I was in college. It seems that there is some dark clouds in my heart.

I'm definately feeling you hun the cold really aggrivates my illness makes me sore grumpy tired unable to breath lack energy and really tender. Most of the time I can deal but the cold feels so different this year it feels like it's getting right into my bones so i can understand the crabby feeling. I seem to be in a better mood when it's warmer of course in direct correlation i'm not as sore but i used to not mind the cold so i'm sure it's just cos i'm in pain i need to move somewhere nice warm and sunny then i'll be less moody lol.

I guess sometimes weather changes get to me. Mostly though when it is a big rainstorm. I have so far to go to get to my car in the parking lot, that I always get rainsoaked. But cold weather doesn't get to me. I'm more likely to be in a bad mood because I'm so hot in summer.

Sorry to hear about your crabbiness. I used to get tired of the bitter cold if it went on day after day. I think I could be a little grouchy because of that. Guess I won't tell you what the temp is here today...

Hi Jill, I don't mind the cold so much as I can add extra layers but it is a bit of a pain having to scrap ice off each morning before starting the day. The weather that tends to get me down the most is torrential rain as even with waterproofs and wellies I still tend to get wet and miserable with it. We have had a cold spell recently and it has even been too cold to sit at the computer for long so I have been snuggled under blankets on the sofa instead reading. Hope it warms up soon. Huggles. Ellie :D
