Would you choose LCD or Plasma?

If you gonna to buy a TV. Which type of TV do you prefer? LCD or PLasma? Why? Lets discuss.

I have asked this question in my family....and they have said and also so have salesmen that plasma tv screens do not last as long and will burn out faster than LCD....my parents just bought a new tv in the last 2 wks and that is exactly what the salesperson told them.

The salesman told me that plasma has more contrast and better viewable angle than plasma. And he told me that the latest plasma has improved alot compared to the old model.

Right now we would lean toward LCD. Plasma is supposed to be good if you have a large tv in a large room. I have also heard that some people have experienced a picture burn into the screen if it is left on too long, but I don't know for sure. We are hoping to buy a 32-37 inch LCD in the next few months. Hopefully the prices will continue to drop a little by the time we have the money to buy one.

I would have to choose the LCD because that is what we own in my home. We also own rear projection too. I do not know about plasma.

Both of them has it's own strengths, but if you would compare from all aspects, Plasma would still comes on top. So it's Plasma. :)
