How many of you get busted in on while taking a shower???

First of all let me just say that I can only take a shower when my husband is home because my two year old is so wild she would burn the house down if she wasn't watched at all times. So, I have to get a shower in a limited amount of time. During this 20 minutes in the shower, I have to say that I get busted in on at least 5 or 6 times. And you know what happens when someone swings the bathroom door open when your in the shower, right? Arctic bursts of air just invade the shower. So I was wondering how many other people have a few interuptions while trying to get that daily shower...

Well, I too have a toddler and when I enter the shower, she starts slamming the door, crying for mamma, and destroying my toiletries. It is difficult to have a peace ful quiet shower in my house, when she is asleep and try to have a shower it will sure ring the door bell or the telephone, where my dogrs will start barking and my child gets up.

Yes, I have had more than a few rolls of toilet paper shredded in there or elsewhere throughout the house!

hello psspurgeon1, As long as I can remember, I think I got busted twice while I'm taking my shower. For the same reason, I locked the gate before taking shower not knowing that our eldest son will arrive earlier. So while taking the shower, he pressed the buzzer for how many times that need to be attended at once or he might leave at once thinking that no one is in the house. So what I did is to go out and opened the gate at once and back to have my shower again.

That is why I lock the door. I normally shower when my kids are asleep or when my son is home from school still and can keep an eye on my daughter for me while I shower.

I have tried to have the older one watch the younger one for ten minutes but then I always spend the entire ten minutes yelling at them to stop running, stop fighting, stop this n that.... I tell ya, it's interesting in our shower!

during the week.. I take my shower while everyone is at school and work.. so no interruptions.. but the weekends.. I always have at least one interruption.. usually it's my husband who decides to have a conversation (about NOTHING) with the door wide open! brrrr!

Yea that is feasable but even my two year old knows how to pick the locks from the outside. She has been outsmarting locks and child locks since her first birthday.

Five or six times every time you shower? Really? From one child and one husband, in a span of twenty minutes? I think you have more problems that just a rampant child or arctic air blowing onto your skin. I think they can wait twenty minutes to get into the bathroom. It seems kind of ridiculous that you don't have the time to yourself while your in there.

Oh, no no no, not 5 or 6 times in 20 minutes. It's more like 6-8 times in 10 minutes. From two children and one husband. They take turns. I think it may be a conspiracy. Like I said, I haven't been in the shower or bathroom alone to do anything for six years. And before I had kids, it was always my husband busting in.

Dont you have a lock on your door? Most bathroom doors on the inside do. I use mine everytime.

I can not wait for the day when I can take a shower and know that no one will be running into the bathroom, swing the door wide open so it crashes a loud bonk and have some peace to myself in the bathroom. I figure I still have another couple of years to go but that should not be that big of a deal. I can not wait for both of my daughters to be in school full time. I still have at least 3 years for that.....I know it will go by fast so I am super excited but I figure by that time I will not be run in on all the time. It happens even if I am just going to the bathroom it is not subject to just shower time.

Oh yea, definitly. Any time we walk into that bathroom we become the target of conversation, etc. I have said many times that I haven't went pee all by myself for the last 6 years. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't have to referee and conversate while I went pee!

I got to a point that it was impossible to shower and leave the door locked. Someone always needed to use the bathroom, or wanted me for something. Now I wait until they're all in bed, so I can get a peaceful shower. Babies or teenagers, it doesn't matter. Sometimes I think the teens are worse.

I did just this morning. I'm enjoying my shower, lathering up my hair, and my boyfriend bursts in and says, "The cat was in the garbage". "Oh yeah", I replied, "Shoo her out then". Why he thought that was a valid interruption I will never know.

Yeah, my hubby will actually answer my cell and try to bring it to me in the shower! I'm like, "uh, kinda busy, wadda they want, can you tell em I'll call em back?" Then my 2 year old comes in about 20 times per shower and he just lets her. Then the six year old always has to use the potty when I'm showering.

I am lucky to have my room and my own shower so I rarely share it with members of the family. Sometimes my mom or my brother would use it as well but when I am in the shower I have the privilege of locking my door. No one really opens the door when it is locked so I have never been busted in. Not only is the cold air uncomfortable, being seen naked would be really embarrassing as well!

Hi ya psspurgeon1 As I am a single mum I tend to wait until all my boys are in bed asleep before I take a shower in the evening, that way I know I am not going to get disturbed and the boys are ok and won't come to any harm whilst I am in the bathroom! My eldest used to be a nightmare when he was younger too, I would never have left him alone or 5 minutes or else who would have got up to who know's what!!

Thats how my 2 year old is. My husband has to be home or I don't get a shower. By the time they are in bed at night I don't EVEN DARE to turn on something as loud as our shower for fear of my night being never ending! When my older daughter was little I could vaccumm right by her head and have no fear but the two year old is so...busy...I wouldn't dare! I'm glad you get a little bit of peace though!
