circuit city gone??

Sorry to hear that. It's a tough time for everyone. Retail jobs are really taking a hit. Maybe there is something else he can do on his own for income like starting his own business doing something. You could be a husband and wife team.

I really liked Circuit City. We used to shop there quite often for stereos and speakers for our vehicles. Is there any way that your husband can get unemployment? That would help for a while.

I am so sorry this is happening. Have you ever thought of becoming an personal care assistant to disabled. Those jobs usually keep openings. Just an idea. It is sad to see so many companies struggling and so many families losing everything because they can not find work.

I definitely agree with you that this is a terrible time to be looking for a job, but now more than ever past experience is going to be very important because there are so many other job seekers at the moment. Your husband's retail experience at Circuit City might give him an edge over the competition. It's got to be scary to be jobless and have three young kids to support; my sister unfortunately is in a similar situation at the moment.
