I have a set but I haven't played it in years. I remember some really funny times though.
There was the time that my mom drew something and everybody swore it was a T-rex. Turns out she was drawing a dog.
And the time my brother-in-law and his girlfriend were playing and one of them drew a little squiggle and right away the other one said 'bird'. None of us could ever figure out how that looked like a bird.
Good memories. Guess I should try playing it with the family.
Does anybody still play this any more?

It was a fun card game for kids and grown-ups and we played MANY games and I can still remember them.

We play Pictionary all the time, I'm reasonably certain we don't use the right set of rules but it doesn't matter. It also doesn't matter that we're all terrible artists. Every so often our friends will come over, we'll have a few drinks, bust out Pictionary and laugh ourselves silly!

Like how you keep score, turns, what you can & can't draw etc. There is actually a pretty detailed set of rules but we just divide into two teams and take turns picking cards and drawing whichever one strikes our fancy. Your team gets a point if they guess, if they don't then they don't!

we have family game night every sunday. We have a whole closet full of board games for this night. But I have to say that though we have this game we all rarely ever pick it. i think it has been well over a year since someone picked it. Though I enjoy the game it is frustrating for the younger people in the family who have a difficulty drawing well enough for the others to guess. ALso some of the stuff the kids don't know who or what it is enough to draw it. EX. We are in canada none of us would guess Florida. LOL

We have the same problem with Apples to Apples. If we don't play the junior version, my two younger kids don't get a lot of the words.

I haven't played Pictionary in years. People don't play boards games like they used to. It's hard getting a group of people that want to play or have the time to play. My friends just play Nintendo Wii now rather than board games like Pictionary. I think it's sad that people don't want to do anything other than play video games. I guess board games will go the way of the dodo.

Hm, maybe you should play it blindfolded or looking into a mirror! :-)

You team up, you pick a word (from a pile of cards), your partner draws what it is, and you try and guess. The team with the most right, wins from what I remember. But it's been a long time since I've played.

Hey there dawn
My kids are still a bit too young to paly this game so we don't have it. When I was younger we had it for Christmas one year and it was really good fun. I think we only played it a few times and then it got left in the cupboard for years til I think my mum had a clear out and it went!!

I think it was last year that I played pictionary with friends. Everyone was laughing at the end of it and I think most of it was directed at my drawings as well. I cannot draw for the life of me so everything should be a stick person.

If everybody were a great artist, it wouldn't be as much fun!

We do at home with the kids once in a while. My mom used to have these game parties where they played all kinds of things...

I haven't played it in years either. We use to play it a lot when the children were teenagers. I remember that we got the game then. It was really funny as only of the the children could draw. You have nme wonderfing now what happened to it - it certainly isn't in this house= must have been lost from my three house moves after I left the farm house. Thanks for the memories. Blessings

It's especially fun when they CAN'T draw. But now a 1 1/2 year old, does HE even know what he's drawing? lol
