I have found my sisters not even trying to get the feel of the water when they used to have fever. I am better though. I love water and I have to have shower daily no matter what. In hot season, may be, 2-3 times!
C'mon be honest, do you take shower when you have fever or when not feeling that well?
[i]PS: I got inspired by my friend here to start this post.

I don't take showers when I have a fever. I allow the temperature imbalance inside my body to normalize before I try anything like a cold shower. A sponge bath might be good. Cheers!!

I too take a shower twice a day no matter what. And if I am feeling unwell with fever, then perhaps I will miss out on the second shower and settle for one only.......That's the best I can do Mimpi..here its always warm and sunny except when it rains and I find that taking a warm shower is refreshing even when I am not well.........

If am down with fever and it it is less than 100 degree, I go for shower, to refreshen up myself. However, if the degree of fever is higher, then I go as per the advice of the treating Doctor, if he says - it is alright to take bath or shower, then I go for it. No doubt, when you are down with fever, water works as an analgesic and makes us feel refreshed.

P.S. - Winter is still on here so cannot think of taking shower or bath more than once a day.

I know Delhi has severe colds and it's not feasible to take bath more than once in winters. Our place is hotter and gives me more chance to shower often.

Moderate weather at your place gives you an opportunity to take showers more than once. Good to know. You are lucky.

Oh, it makes me feel better. When I am not feeling well, which is rare, I like a bath. If I am not running a fever, the hotter the better or in my hot tub. If I am feverish, hot but then lie in there while it cools down. That always helped a lot.
It is not good for the skin to shower too often, though, as it dries out the skin.

I think its good to bathe in lukewarm water all through the seasons. That helps in blood circulation and keeps us glowing. That's what I hard. And I am glad that you are not ill that often. Stay fine and keep healthy.

I don't take showers when I am very sick, but I will attempt a bath. Sometimes soaking in hot water helps. I do love my showers though and have to have them daily. But I do like an occasional bath.

Hi mimpi123! If I don't have high fever, I won't take a shower. I will just have a sponge bath. However, if the fever is low and I know I can stand on my own under the shower without any dizzy spells or I won't have any chills, then I will take a shower.
Take care and have a nice day!

Yes, a lot depends on the severity of the fever. with high fever one doesn't have the strength to even walk up to the shower! I hardly have fever, lucky me!

To be honest mimpi, I would be classified with your sisters, I don't feel like getting a shower nor a bath when my fever is on. A cold dap of cloth over my body would fine and taking my meds would makes me better than taking a bath. Unlike other else, it is one of the exceptional cases I would take when talking about bath and showers.

Yes, my sisters are like that but I just cannot do that, unless in severe situations. I would wash and take shower even though for lesser amount of time.
And dear this discussion is inspired by you. Thanks.

Yes, i do take showers too even if i have fever. I think, it helps to keep our fever down. But when i am really really sick i take on a shower but try not to get my back wet. The lower part of back,i get wet but not the upper part. Just to be safe and feel refreshed at the same time.

hi my dear friend, i too love to be in water, infqact i too love the feel of water.but i avoid in high temperature, i mean high body temperature, when i suffer from fever.why to unnecessary worsen the situation by taking bath when you shouldn't.i love to take shower after gym and before bed. i love to take more after coming from my gym because at that time i am very tired and very very sweaty, so i enjoy and feel more fresh after that. before bed is when the climate is very hot.

My family don't give their children a bath when having fever. As for me I always do, my Mom used to get upset and angry with me because I don't listen to them and they said that I will pay for it when I get old, I guess I'm starting to pay for that now, lol. The only time I wont take shower is when I feel so lazy or because the doctor said not to. Have a nice day, dear.

My mom used to say a lot of those things when we were kids but now she is conversant with modern medical advancements and do not say much.
You have a nice day too.

i will skip for one day for showering when i have fever.
but mostly i don;t want to skip one day also. but because of too much temparature or anyother illness or because of weakness ,i will skip shower for one day.
if i am having too much illness, generally i prefer to bath once in a day.

if i have fever ,i skip shower for one day .second day if i have fever also i do shower. i feels irritated or hotness when i don;t shower for more than one day.
if i have fever ,i prefer to take bath with warm water rather than cold or hot water. but mostly i don;t want to skip the bath for one day also. if i have too much of fever or anyother illness ,i skip shower for one day.
but i will take shower or bath once in a day only.
