How does this site actually pay?

I'm kinda new to these sites, so far I'm doing this one and ehow.com. I really don't know if these even pay off or what's the best site to focus on. For the ehow.com I've written several very informative articles and nothing so far. What gives?

I have been paid by mylot a couple of times, I don't usually spend that much time here, but I am starting to spend more because of my current situation. The more discussions you answer (and the longer the answer) the more money you make. Also you can make money by starting discussions that other people answer. I have started a couple that have done very well for me. I have never heard of ehow, I have made some okay money at Ciao, and I write for other sites as well, won't make a living at any of them, but I make enough to take myself to the movies now and again.

HI, I wonder to know: How much can you earn from mylot per month? I noticed that you are in the highese level-level 10, so the question is how much does my lot pay you for one post? thank you.

I don't know how much they pay per post. It depends on how good the post is and how long it is. The most I have made in a day is about 50 cents. I don't stay on all day and some days I don't come here at all. I seem to make more if I start a good discussion then if I answer several.
