I don't know music that well. I can't read music. I like music a lot though. I think I can tell what sounds crappy or well done. We probably all do. Anyway, Neil Pert from Rush is maybe the best drummer. He sounds pretty awesome to me. Other people I know have been adament that he is the best.

Steve Gadd and Harvey Mason back in the 70's and 80's they played just about on everyones albums...

There are a ton of drummers out there that are amazing and all of the best are just that "the best" I think however that my favorite would be the old drummer for Chimaria, or the drummer from aborted. There are so many out there though it is so hard to pick.
