Earlier in the week my boss started selling Girl Scout cookies for his daughter. I didn't order any because he normally orders extra and then brings them in to sell them when he delivers every one elses cookies so I'm sure I will buy a box or two off of him then.
Yesterday my daughter's cousin came over to sell some Girl Scout cookies and I ordered 2 boxes off of her. I ordered some Shortbread cookies and some low-fat cookies as well.
How many boxes of Girl Scout cookies do you normally buy? What kind of cookies do you like best?

One of our doctors used to sell them for her son but she no longer works there.
Now there is no one selling Girl Scout Cookies anymore.
I used to buy a Box of Thin Mints and the Peanut Butter ones.

Those are very good cookies too. I know I have had times when I didn't know anyone who sold them either. It seems I either don't know anyone selling them or I know too many selling them and can't purchase from every one.

Yes I buy girl scout cookies every year,I normally buy 10 boxes and share them with my girls but last year I had like 5 boxes no one ate so this year I dont plan on buy very many. I like the Thin Mint and the ones with the oatmeal outside and peanut butter in the middle but I forget the name. You have a great day.Did you get to go to the wedding? Was your prince charming there?

Wow! You rarely hear of someone buying Girl Scout cookies and they don't get ate.
I didn't get to go to the wedding. I couldn't find a babysitter and then on top of that I've been sick with a bad cold. Maybe it just wasn't meant for me to go or to find Prince Charming yet. I just stayed home with the kids. My daughter had a cousin spend the night with her. We just watched movies and while they played, I was here on MyLot.
Thanks so much for asking! It's great to have friends like you who care!

Mmmmm Girl Scout Cookies! Now I'm craving some!
I haven't bought any in a very long time, which is probably a good thing. I haven't worked with anyone who sells them and it's hard to find anyone in my area who has little girls in Girl Scout. If I'm lucky, they will have a table set up outside the grocery store and I'll pick up a box or two. I really like the Thin Mints and the Peanut Butter ones. They also have a few others that are yummy too. I always put the Thin Mints in the freezer and they are SOOOOOO good.

I love girl scout cookies. We have a little girl that lives across the street that sells them every year. If my husband would let me I would buy tons of them. I usually buy two boxes of caramel delights, two boxes of thin mints, and two boxes of peanut butter sandwiches. I don't know what it is about girl scout cookies but it seems like I can't get enough of them lol.

I think a lot of people feel like that. I think it's because you can only get them at that certain time of the year.

OMG! I love those things, they are evil I tell you. The last time I bought them it was the mint thins and I bought 10 boxes. You heard me right, I said TEN! The really sad thing is that I hid 3 just for me,LOL. I think that they are my favorite cookies in the world but they are soooooooo bad. I think in that week alone I must have gained 10 punds no joke. I had to work out super hard just to loose it again.LOL.

I haven't bought girl scout cookies in a long time. I didn't know they have low-fat cookies, what kind are they? I don't know anyone who sells them anymore. My favorite was always the thin mints (I think that's what they are called)
When I was a girl scout many years ago, my uncle and my grandpa each tried to out buy the other. I remember them going back and forth. They ended up each buying over thirty boxes. Would you believe they were only 50 cents a box when I sold them.

Wow! 50 cents a box. Now they are $4 a box. I can't remember what kind those low-fat cookies were. I just really bought them because they said low-fat and I'm trying to start a diet. Actually, this wasn't the best time to ask me to buy cookies.

Since you can only get them once a year, I usually buy a couple of each. My kids like the peanut butter ones, I like the mints and the cocunut ones, but the lemon ones are really good too, they keep coming up with the low fat ones every year, and they are usually pretty good too. We usually eat some right away then I put away the rest for another time, so it takes us several months to eat them all. Of course once that box of mints is opened, it is gone.

My daughter sells girl scout cookies. So if she doesn't reach her goal, I will usually make up the difference. This year I will be buying about five cases. I will just sell them to friends and work once they come in.
I think they need to make the boxes bigger or dropp the price back down a little. Cookies seem to be getting more expensive.

My boss does that too. He buys a few extra cases and then brings them into work and sells them. It is a very good idea and is definitely for a great cause. He always sells out and still has people wanting more. It is just so hard to resist those cookies!

Hi singlemommy
I really like girl scout cookies, but they are so hard to find around my neigborhood.
Last year I managed to get my hands on a few boxes through someone at work who had to sneak them to me. That's the nature of the environment at my job.
Anyway, I like almost every girl scout cookie ever made, but my favorite is the peanut butter ones.

Hi singlemommy,
My job doesn't allow solicitation at all. That's why we have sneak around.
How underhanded is that? I don't appreciate having to operate like that at all!

I don't buy any, used to buy about four years ago but we live way out and they don't come where we live. Plus the price has gone up, our income down and the cookies are smaller. Not worth the price when I can buy Oreo's a lot cheaper and for a lot more in the package or make my own cookies from scratch.

I used to by about 5 boxes a year. But, this year I just flat out gave them $20. They make more money that way and I don't get as fat....

OMG ...well they are usually outside our walmart and when my husband who
is in Iraq right now usually looks at me and then tells
the little girl give her what ever she wants.
since we have 4 kids in the house and 2 out of the house I have to buy
every one a box. Plus I have to get boxes for my husband and some so he can have at work
Then I have to have a stash...lol
We buy a good 20 on the first go round.
Then I usually got back and buy about 5 or 10 more.
I love the lemon ones my step dad does to.
I am glad we no longer are in the same state we would be fighting
over girlscout cookies.
Girl thanks for reminding me it is that time again I will have to send my husband a box
full of cookies.
I am sure he and some other soldiers will enjoy them in Iraq.

We would buy somewhere of up to 30 boxes of cookies during the sales season. I know that sounds crazy, but everyone thas their favorites and they used to be a good deal and you knew it was for a good group fundraiser. We would just throw them into the freezer and break them out over the next several months.
I haven't been able to do that though the last few years sue to prices rising. So, now I might buy 1-2 boxes of my favorites but that's it. Our favorites are the thin mints, the peanut butter patties, shortbread and the caramel de-lights.
