Hi ammie07! I am sorry to learn that Brownie passed away but I am sure that her puppies will be her legacy to you and your family. And I am sure that her puppies will be as lovable and as intelligent as Brownie. Take care and blessings to you! lovelots..faith210

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of a beloved pet. I know how it hurts to lose a pet. I think most of us have lost a beloved pet. I have four pets and love them all. I have a 14 year old cat, one cat we got from a shelter and do not know her age and a 7 year old dog and a puppy who is less than a year old.

I'm so sorry ammie that you lost your beloved brownie as I too have lost my beloved babies over the years and do know what you are feeling. As I'm sure others here will as well. Takeher in your heart and do remember what she was and how strong she was and gain from that the stength you need to get over her being gone in her physical form. Know that you will be again joined with her one day and that she watches over you now.

I'm so sorry for you. I know my little dog means everything to me. I'd be devastated if something happened to him. Write about how you felt about her. It's a way to remember her, and a way to share her with your friends. Talk about all the things she did that made her special. This way she'll always be with you, just in a different form. It's hard to lose a loved one, but don't lose the good feelings and memories she gave you.

Hi Ammie. I can relate to you loss, i had a boxer his name was Buddy, and i lost him at 3 years old, due to kidney failure. He was my pal,and excellent dog. One day he was not feeling good, loosing weight, till i could get him to a vet, within 2 weeks he was barely living, I sat up all night with him, feeding him and giving him fluids with a eye drooper. Finally i got him to the vet, they did blood work on him and told me his body organs were only 5 percent working. I was so heart broken. I had to make the decission to bring him home to pass away, or puthim to sleep. I could not see him suffer any longer so i made my decession, I could not see him linger on for only 2 more days. The hardest decession i had to make, i cried and cried, and i still do till this day. Its only 5 months since i had to do this. I had my pal, Buddy cremated. He is right by me at my pc desk. I know i will never forget him, he will be in my memmories for ever. I made a choice not to get any more dogs, but that seemed selfish to me for other dogs, so i went to a spca and adpoted 2, and now is giving them a loving and caring home.

It is so hard to lose such a friend! I've lost a few dogs and it hurts very badly. It never really stops hurting but eventually warm memories will replace most of the pain. I believe our pets await us on the other side of life, enjoying the love of God. I hope you can enjoy her children until you see her again.

Its wild how attached you can get to a dog. I have had many dogs in my 49 years. I can name every one and tell stories about each one. The thing about dogs is they don't have a real long lifespan so you wind up losing a good friend and loyal companion that you have had for the last 5 or 10 years. The best dog I ever had was only with me for 5 years and we had a lot of good times together. My point is, remember the good times with Brownie and take the time to write them down. The best cure that I have found for losing a good dog is finding another good dog. PS The best dog I ever had was named Luke and he was a real dog. He was an english shepherd and smarter than a lot of people I know.
