It is quite disturbing. My hubby snores a lot and it is too loud at night. I usually move him to his side so that his snoring will be minimized. It helps though. Lol..
How did you do it? Do you just ignore it because you are use to the sound and you can still sleep soundly with that loud snore? I don't. I will let him sleep in his side not at his back.. because he'll snore a lot when he lie flat. what about you? what is an effective way to minimize his snoring? curious to hear your story.

hahah!! really? good for you. for me? I will find ways to let him stop snoring for a while until I am soundly asleep. It helps when he will sleep at his side not lying flat.

I think there is no remedy or medicine of some sort for snoring.. it is just a matter of positioning when they sleep that contributes to the snoring.

haha :D
i have a hubby who snores too... sometimes i used to move him on his side too just to have a normal air passage and can breathe easily or wake up him just to tell that he is snoring and i can't sleep LOL. yeah it works a lot of times and i understand them especially if they have a tiring day at work, for some this is normal but if it's a habit or a routine i think they need to have a check up for a specialist :D
thanks for your post!:)
happy myLotting!;)

because of over weight also ,snoring can come. so see if he is over weight and ask him to control his weight. then snoring can be lessened.
avoid milk products and soya milk products before his sleep. he should avoid alchohol and other medications before sleep.
yes moving his side can minimise his snoring .
he should try to elevate his bed four inches ,which may take breathe easier .
he can avoid pillow and sleep.
if his snoring is more and too loud consult a doctot and take treatment.

kick him down the bed & apologize to him the next morning. that's not working because he can still snore down the bed. lol.
try to get some stop snoring products for him like cpap, dental appliances, stop snoring pillow, stop snoring spray, etc. there is a product called "breathe right" maybe he can try.
if these stop snoring products are unable to help, try this for yourself - mp4 player with earphones. LOL!

I think the best thing to do is to keep one waking him up so that he can't snore.. hahaha thanks for the response. Have a nice day.

We used to have this problem while on patrol in Rhodesia.
We would sleep in the open bush in a circle with our feet in the middle so if we were attacked by the terrorists we could return fire as a defensive ring.
If someone snored a lot it could give our position away so the person on guard had to stop them.
One man's method was to give the snorer a big kiss! The snorer would then stay awake all night wondering who the hell it was that had kissed him!! No more snores - haha

hahahah!! really? wow that's good if our house is big? But our house has limited rooms, we only have 2 bedrooms so the kids will sleep on the other room and even then, the snore of my hubby reaches to the other room. The whole household will be disturbed when he starts to snore.

I just ignore it usually. I stay up until I'm really tired to the point where nothing could keep me awake anymore, then I just fall asleep, and don't usually hear his snoring. Other times I just block the sound out with a pillow if it's that annoying, or if I'm feeling a bit mean, I start tossing and turning and even moaning in protest, it wakes him up, then I can go to sleep while he's now frustrated at being woken up. xD

That's what I do sometimes too. I keep on moving to awaken him and the snoring will stop. But it will only stop for few minutes and there again..It is very disturbing you know?

Well,my hubby doesn't snore so I have no problem with that. But I have a friend room mate before who snores a lot and it's so loud. what I do is I make a noise to wake her up and the snore will stop. I find ways that she will roll at her side and that snoring is minimized. You are right, when they sleep at their side, they will not snore so loud.

That's one problem I have w/ my husband too; he's constant loud snoring that really bothers me. I usually snuggle at him lying on his chest as we sleep but I can't go on sleeping if he does first becaue I felt there is a pump boat inside him. It's good if am the one who sleep first but he does, then it's a real problem on me because I have a hard time getting to sleep because of him snoring. Well I haven't made any remedy move for this so far as am trying to just get used to it by now but I may try your suggestions and hope it works, thanks for sharing.

My guy can snore no matter what position he sleeps in. So, for many years now I wear ear plugs at night. I can still hear him, but its like white noise with the ear plugs and I can sleep.

Get him a bibap machine. It will be good for him cuz he may end up stop breathing sometimes. If you hear him snoring and then stop watch him to see if is breathing cuz he may have sleep apnea. I know cuz i have it and i stop breathing for 21 seconds before start breathing again.

My husband has the same problem. Usually if I go to sleep before him the snoring doesn't bother me. He tried the nose strips. He said they bothered him. He also tried a CPAPP machine but that's really difficult to sleep with on the entire night. He's currently working on getting some sort of mouthpiece. Hopefully that will help.

Actually,if you are use to the sound and it's not a big deal then. This is very normal for men. There are some woman who snore also. It is a real sign that there is a little difficult for their breathing. Wives should understand their hunsbands and should not hold their nose or put a pillow on their face.

Luckily, I don't sleep with a man to have those problems...but my babies can snore just as loudly. It's so cute, they're off in dreamworld with their tiny mouths opened and they are sawing a log.
Anywho...snoring is a common thing. I've seen those nasal strips one would wear on the outside on the bridge of the nose. I don't know if they work. Usually with my ex, I'd just have to jab him in the back with my elbow for him to stop snoring, but that was annoying as well.
On a medical note, if it's really bad, he could have something known as sleep apnea. I believe the end results to that is a decreased oxygen level in the blood due to the sinuses. For that, a PPPE would be done (Taking out part of the sinuses) so he'd have a clearer breathing pathway.
My ex had SA and my ex boyfriend had the operation. I guess it worked.
