I am down to my last book of checks. Last time I ordered checks it cost $80 for 2 boxes. I can not afford to pay that again. Does anyone know of any sites where I can get some less expensive ones? Thanks

they are coded with your personal number and code on it, I don't know if you can get them elsewhere than from the bank, but I think you can ask your bank teller or manager if there is a way to get them cheaper.

I haven't gotten any in several years because I write so few since most of my bills except for taxes are direct withdrawals from my bank, actually credit union. But I have always ordered them from my credit union and they were no where near that price. All the expenses for banking are almost always less at a credit union and there is almost always a way for just about anyone to join one. You should look into it. Short of that you should cut down on the use of checks by taking advantage of automatic withdrawals either by companies like your utilities being authorized to do it or setting up to do it online for example for credit card bill payments or cable, etc. on a once at a time thing.

I always ordered from checks unlimited. For first time customers you can get like 4 boxes for under 20 dollars. After your first time, it's still not expensive.

You could always print your own. Any stationary store, Stapels, Office Depot etc should have the blanks.

I've used www.designerchecks.com and Checks In The Mail http://secure.checksinthemail.com. They both have decent prices.
