I grew up in the province and live in a hidden and remote area LOL! So it is impossible for me to know what is it in the city and how it look like. I was just 11 years old when a cousin from manila asked me to go city and watch a horror movie together. I was very excited and got afraid upon entering the theater for I don't see anything, but the big screen and the show of the film!! What an experience!! I thought screen would eat me... :))

i have been seeing movie in theatres since i was n 10th standard.and i am fond of watching movies in the theatre.but my father hates sitting in the cinemas.he feels sitting in the cinema for three hours is just waste of time.so he never takes us to theatre until and unless he feels we should go for it and we will learn something from it then he takes the whole family for the movie.

wow...the first time i watched a movie into big screen when i was in grade 5 when my classmate treated me for a movie because i had helped her for our lesson. That was one of my unforgettable moment when i was young because my parents can't even sent me there before they can't afford because it was expensive before to a movie in a movie theater in our place.

Hello amazingheart! Like you, I grew up in province and live in a remote area of Surigao del Sur. I remember the first time I went to a movie theater is when I was in second year college and studied in Davao city and one of my cousin invited me to go to the theater and watch a movie. I got really amazed by how big the screen was.

Hey Amazing heart , i watched movies right from my childhood , but what is the interesting in watching movie is the question of when did you watched a movie alone or the first time with your friends , when i was 13 years old i went and watched a movie with my dudes. the experience was really blushing but at the same time it was really very exiting , i still can remember my first time i was standing in the long queue with my friends and at the same time i was really scared of someone watching me , as i didnt informed about the movie to my parents,LOL Anyhow it was really a great moment to relish in my life,in your case it is really haunting to see a horror movie in a theater that too for the first time , hope you too had a thrilling experience, Great.. happy mylotting

i can't actually remember anymore when was the last time i watched a movie at the theatre... i think it is a long long time ago... and it is about the same age as you... may be 10 years old... i didn't really like to go to watch movie in a theater... i prefer to watch it at home in DVD... it is cheaper and more relaxing... take care and have a nice day...

I had my first when I was in Grade three, when I was about9 years old. it was an Action movie of Fernando Poe Jr., Pagbabalik Ng Lawin; you see, I still pretty much remember the title huh.....lol! I was very excited then as going to a movie house is some kind of reward for us kids that time (it was in the 70's). Well I already knew it was dark there inside as my brother who first went to see some movies had told me that it was so am not really shocked w/ it. I rarely watched movies in my childhood years and if I do that is when I got some honors in my class during closing time in school.

My first cinema experience was when I was 3 years old. I remember it was a choice between The Sound Of Music with my mother or Star Wars with my father. I chose to go with my father.
Signs of Geekdom appear early I guess.

The first movie I ever saw in a theater was when i was 10 years old. I remember being a very sheltered child growing up. Luckily my cousin asked my grandmother if I could go to the dollar theater nearby. The first movie I saw was Pocahauntas with my cousin and aunt. Now me and my husband go see movies very often and I appreciate this more because its something I didnt get to do often as a child.

Well, I cannot remember which movie I went and seen for the first time, but I remember going when I was maybe around 10. It was an interesting thing for sure. I also remember going one time and having to take my youngest brothers and sisters with me, and remember them crying so much we could not watch the movie, and had to call my Mom and Dad to come get us instead. So my early memories may not be the best for sure.

I almost ROFL after reading your last sentence for " I thought screen would eat me...:))" .....wait!!!(5 minutes).
OK OK OK, now my turn to answer your question. When I was seven (7) years old, it was my first time I watched movie in theater(genre: warrior). I sat at front row seat next to aisle. Being a boy, am very discipline when the national anthem song played on the screen before the movie started and next zealously enjoyed the movie till the end. The funny moment was, when the movie finished at 1.00 noon, I can't exit from that theater room on the spot/harshly due to intense glare.

it was when i was in class 2nd(i think). to my luck we were seated on the top floor and were easily to see everything. I really enjoyed the movie very much. Yes it is better than seeing on dvds. Its something different. With all the surrounding quite. ON the large screen. its too amazing. I always had enjoyed siting on the upper floor.

The first movie I remember seeing was ET. I was young and my stepdad took me. I remember not being able to see over the seat back in front of me so I spent the movie sat on my stepdads knee.... years later, I'm still a big lover of the cinema
