What do you think of my discussion?

I personally love to start discussions. I love to see my friends respond to it and share opinions and experiences with them. What I also like is if some people say, "Hey, I like your topic" or anything else for that matter. Usually the title draws us to a discussion and if the content is something interesting, funny, informative, etc... you would definitely respond right? There are also some discussions wherein it will make you say, " Hey I like your topic." My questions is, what is your criteria for you to say that or what are the things that will actually impress you? Share your thoughts my friends!

Yuna15, nice to hear from you, again! I usually try and respond to all "myLot's friends" discussions if I find the topic something that I can add some worthwhile comments to! But, I do have an issue with "one person" on my friend's list that starts 47 discussions in less than 24 hours...all those discussions are less than one liners...some no more than 7 words, definitely not within the MyLot guidelines! To me, it is an expression of appreciation of their friendship when I acknowledge that they have started a topic, and that I can respond to....but if the topic is controversial (to me) I will not waste my energy, nor my time, to answer in a negative manner! There is enough negativity in this world already! Have a great day, my friend! Cheers!

Hi yuna! I do like your topic my friend. It just shows that you are interested in your friends opinions and insights. What topics that interest me varies. I do like discussions that have humor in it. I also love to read discussions about real experiences that will make me learn and understand more about life, these are the discussions that impressed me the most. I love discussions that can motivate and inspire me and give me hope. I also like light discussions that can make me smile. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith210

yuna15, Unfortunately, I do not think we can ever be allowed to respond with a just one line stating that we like the topic of your post(s) or provide a critic. It is quite clear here as stated in the TOS here that lest we have anything to contribute otherwise skip and go to another. Besides, it is a discussion and responses will need to be proactive and participative so there is not conducive and permitted to have one line responses. For then it will be like a internet chat. So, yes, I will prefer to follow the rule here and let others have a go with it. No point forcing yourself if you do not feel up to it and void. Cheers.

I didn't say anything about a one-liner response. What I'm trying to say is, if you're responding to a discussion, "part" of your response, could be, saying something about admiring the discussion itself.

Well personally there are many reasons I come here and have responded back to various discussions like I do. For me, a lot of times it will depend on the Title if it catches my attention to post back too, and then also if it from a Friend in here that sometimes makes me want to respond back more as in respect for them as well. But personally I have no real routine. It just for me depends on the amount of time I have to post in here as well.

there are so many things that impress me I cannot possibly think of all of them, I try to answer all the discussions of my friends, but it is not always easy. I love stuff that teaches me something new, I love topical news stories, history, psychology, science, writing and more.

well a member like me who has been here quite a long time is more on posting responses than starting. i still do start a discussion maybe once a month or omce in two months. as for now i enjoy surfing around and looking for something to response or getting a notification what my friends started. as long as you see my response on your discussion that means i am interested. i like responding on light warming and fun.

i think a catchy tittle or header will make a good impression and catch attention. a not so long but not so short discussion is a good one too. if it is too long a guy like me has no patience on reading it. i dont response on ranting discussion. i am here to relax and unwind and a discussions about complaining is not my cup of coffee. i like discussion with were i can learn from it and i can share my views so members will learn from other views as well.

well, for me, I like topics that are thought provoking and with humor. I like to laugh and share my thoughts too in something. I don't like debatable topic. I like informative ones and with a little humor in it.

Hi yuna! I like topics that make you think! I like the topics that have some substance and are actually about something of interest or that pose some sort of a question that is about something of importance other than the usual one liners about nothing! I get tired and annoyed responding to those types over and over again. I prefer to respond to a topic that will have me thinking and will give advice to the discussion or will add somthing of substance rather then just a silly answer.

hi yuna i am very particular in my choices of topics discussed, i have seen so many interesting topics by a group of people and they are my friends ... they discuss on "day to day" life and on matters which is public concern, they also highlight some informations as in "general knowledge" BUT i do not like the topics you like A or B ... this are so boring, but believe me they get the most response ... maybe everyone thinks that it is easier to get points replying to easy topics cheers

LOL happy mylotting!!

I can't think of any right off the top of my brain now. But I know, as I'm sure that everyone else here feels the same way. We love it when others and our friends respond to our posts. It gives us a good feeling inside, that warm and fussy feeling...an aaaah moment.

Hi yuna15, I have always found your discussions interesting and I have always responded to you but the discussions that I find boring and skip them is the ones going on about joining others sites for more money and trying to get referrals and posting links I am not interested in all that stuff so I just ignor3e them, I like a good discussion that you have to use your brains to thing and respond back. I like things that make me think, not just do you do____? If I can find something in the discussion to really think about before I answer then I'm hooked.

Hi ya yuna15 If a discussion is pretty much of the norm then I won't make a comment like good topic or nice discussion. Normally if I find a discussion really interesting or really original then I will tell the mylotter!!

You do have very interesting posts Yuna and I would love to respond to all of them but I know that I respond to most unless they arte technical. I don't do technical at all.LOL I am always amazed at what people post and wish that I had that skill of choosing something that everyone would like to respond to. You only have to look at my posts and see that I receive so very few responses. I suppose that I would look at something that grabs my attention. so many times I think, why didn't I start that discussion on that topic. I guess people lilke yourself have the knack. I am more of a storyteller and this may put poeple off from responding. I love humour as there are many lonely people out there and I like it when they say that I made them laugh or smile. Blessings
