dear Friends
I m from India .I have seen a four wheeler and a two sheeler launched by some company that uses batteries to run the vechile ......Company claims we can travel 150 kms on two wheeler in just one dollar that sound amazing lol
This way we can save fuel cost and can control pollution ...
Do you think soon most vehicle will run by batteries ....
Thanks
Ganesh

I am glad someone is thinking ahead as oil is running low. I like the idea of electricity for vechiles. I hope it is not going to be too expensive though like everything else in this country. I think it certainly would cut down pollution levels also, so thats excellent.

I'm glad you are thrilled with your battery operated vehicle.
I have been wondering just how much electricity they take seen rates on electricity here go up too many times a year. They dream up all sorts of reasons to take the rates up and then don't bring it back down after the "thing" that caused them to change it and make it higher stopped being a problem.
I'm sure one day the only cars we have will be battery operated. We are going to more extreme and more complicated technology.

Water is much less now than it ever was. Think about when all of the lands were covered with water and just in the last 20 years how much less water there is. We need to have alternative avenues for electricity as well, like wind, etc.

I think that it will really take a long time before vehicles will reach the stage that they can run on batteries alone, there is still much research to do.

The thing is, new battery types are being created all the time. Nowadays, most car batteries are LiOn batteri,es or lithium ion. This is a (relatively) new type of battery that is pretty good in terms of energy capacity. However, batteries are heavy and the it's tough to cram that many batteries into a car so that it's range will compare with a regular gasoline car. However, when batteries are coupled with hybrid engines (where gasoline burns to drive the motor to charge the batteries, INSTEAD of driving the car itself), the range is increased to something wayyy more than 100-150 km (the range of pure electric cars), to like 650km or even 1000 km I think. But yes, there is still alot of research to do; electric cars aren't really practical yet

Well it's about damn time we had these kinds of things!
After all, fossil fuels are limited, and we're just guzzling them down like a kid who's hyped up on Coca-Cola and Pepsi. It's about time we had an alternative so that we can go more green on the economy.
I mean, look at it this way:
Fossil fuels are like alkaline batteries; they're single-use only, and they can't be replenished. They're non-rechargeable.
Batterry-powered vehicles are like rechargeable batteries; they can be recharged more than one time, and you can use them over and over again. It doesn't matter if it causes a small portion of pollution. It's better than fossil fuels anyway. It's better to use something that can be rechargeable than something that isn't, especially when it comes to cars, bikes and other vehicles that use up a lot of gas.

even rechargeable batteries die sooner or later, example the many cars and trucks that kids have as well as the ridable ones that the batteries just go bad on. I do agree though. I just know that one thing is not a fix all.
We need wind energy more than water and others that use up the lands resources.

Hello my friend Ganesh44 Ji,
Wow! this is a great news for everyone of us. But before taking as a part of life, new system before it is launched on roads, some scenes from opposit side should also be examined and experimented. On eshould study both sides of same coin. Apperently, new system may look better. I find on edrawback, what about its speed endurance test. will it loss for all expected speed, as one uses conventionally, petrol/disel and so on. if it can be tried out, well no doubt it will make sea-change in our life. may god bless you and have a great time.

Hello my friend Ganesh44 Ji,
Wow! then it is a great boon to society to become eco-friendly product. When it be competative in the market, has it been launched or yet in pipe line. It may be only in METROs first. May god bless you and have a great time.

ya, thats right... its cool to swith over to electricity.. but by using electricity instead of petrol won't solve the pollution problem. it may solve it partially by keeping the roads pollution free, but remember - a large percentage of electricity is produced using coals... anyway, i, too own one two wheeler which runs by electricity..

I think that only the well to do will be able to drive cars run by batteries. (I keep imagining a long power cord and the car can only go so far) and the rest of us will have to drive regular cars, hybrid cars, and going on buses, walking, or other forms of transportation. It would need a lot of expense to alter cars to just run on electricity, and it would not be feasible. You do need energy such as coal because not every place has non polluting material to produce electricity.

there is a Filipino who invented a car that uses water as gasoline. i think that is more cool. but our government did not support a genius invention like that. i think this car is now in germany for people there appreciates the genius invention of a Filipino. it is okay to have cars that is battery operated but car that is operated by water is something something.

That would be wonderful, think of how much more quiet it would be! You will have that before we in the States do, our economy depends on oil and the ones who profit from it are not about to allow such things here that will reduce their profits.

What is never mentioned about electric cars is that the batteries cause a great deal of pollution to make. I hope they will come up with something better.

Yes Ganesh in future battery powered vehicals will run in the streets.Fuels like petrol and diesel are decreasing.Once these will be finished. Then vehicals ans industrial factories will run by alternative energy.Solar power, wind mills, atomic reactors will replace petrol diesel and other present energy.

All vehicles have batteries now, why can't they run without fuel? That would be nice not to have to spend so much money on fuel, but I can also see having more problems with your vehicles. It would really suck if you were running late for work and you forgot to charge your car the night before so it won't run!

Ya of course when people run out of money or lack of petrol... they will use it with no option........
