Well what I am about to suggest is pills, but vitamins. First of all, I am not a health freak, so you can take my advice as genuine.
I hate going to the doctor, and I hate taking prescriptions, so this past year I decided to try something new. Anytime I felt like I was getting a cold I would take a Vitamin C. If I was already sick, I would take two Vitamin C's in the morning and one at night until I felt better.
Truth be told, I did not go to the doctor once last year for cold medicine.
Vitamin C helps boost your immune system, therefore helps your body heal itself.

just take a lot of rest and avoid watching moving images because you're just going to give yourself a bad headache. lye down and try to sleep as much as you can. if you sneeze, use handkerchiefs and change them regularly because the virus is still there and you don't want them for a long time.

Lots of fluids of course and if congested then steam. A vaporizor or hot shower and steam up the room. I just got over that myself... it's miserable but will pass

Better drink lots of water (not cold) and more fruit intake. That's a great help for me when i had colds after Christmas season. In addition to that, avoid eating sweets and have time to gargle frequently using mouthwash (for example listerine). Gargle helps in avoiding accumulation of bacteria in your throat that will worsen your condition. I hope my tips will help you!

The first thing to do is drink a lot fluids and vitamins. you don't need to drink any antibiotics yet, because 90% of the time its only secondary to viral infection, which is self-limiting. Meaning you could only get away with it without medications.

Orange juice, and anything containing a lot of Vitamin C. Also, there are a lot of juices now that are full of vitamins. Lots of sleep, stay hydrated, and bundle up if you are going out. Look for some of those shower dissolve medicines, or something you can soak in. If you cannot find that, vapor rub in a hot tub works well.
I hope you feel better soon!
