Pick up or delivery?

I pick it up. I have no choice but to pick it up because I live in a rural area where they don't deliver. What's worse is that where the delivery stops is right down the street from me, if I remember right. So getting a pizza is a good 10-15 miles away. Definitely no hop, skip, and jump to get one, that's for sure! LOL It's funny, when I used to live near a pizza place where I could walk it I would actually get it delivered instead. I think it started with not wanting to go up one day, so I had it delivered instead. One look at the pizza guy and I started getting pizza delivered more often. He was cuuute!

Sad to say, but we don't have any pizza places around where I live that deliver anymore. The first ones that started to stop delivery they said it was because of insurance reasons and the liability was too high. Then with in the last couple years the rest have stopped and they said it was do to gas prices, they had to up there charge for delivery so not that many were wanting their pizzas delivered anymore so they don't make it an option anymore. before we know it everyone will quite ordering pizza all together because no one will be able to afford it anymore.

I would love to have it delivered to my door. We live out in the country though and there is nothing out here. The nearest pizza place is 15 miles from here and they will not deliver.

hi shar...i use to call delivery cause it was fun and exciting when it arrived. but now i prefer to pick it up cause it's faster and and a bit of traffic to deal with but i don't mind going out to do it.

Hey Shar19 We don't ever order pizza because our nearest pizza place would be 12 miles away so we either sit in or take it away and eat it along side the river during the summer when it is warm enough to do that!

hmm i usually get delieverd pizza, our car downs work good , usually we do tip the driver usually about one or two maybe three dollars. we usually get something that comes to 18 dollars and just gives him the change

i never called a pizza to be delivered cause i always eat at the restaurant. hmmmmm i would rather let them deliver though if i had to order from home cause i must be too lazy to go out if so. i dont think i would give tips cause i am poor little student. :P

hi shar19, my dear friend,, me and my hubby loves pizza from pizza hut so we always eat from that place. it is very rare that we order it at home. when we go out we generally have it there with a coke or lemonade. its so delicious. i think these pizza hut people make good pizzas. what say ya? i just love them. we love to eat it there because to sit on the table , in that atmosphere, where the item is served on your table, mood is cool, then to eat it there, gives a very different feeling. placing a order, waiting for it to come, and then serving yourself, its a bore. i love to go out and eat it there itself.

I have no choice but to go pick it up. There is no place close to us that delivers. If I am at my sisters or my brothers house and I order a pizza then I get it delivered. I normally tip a few dollars even though they charge $2 for delivery.

I don't order pizza out anymore.its become so expensive just to get a a simple one.I used to go out for a sit down pizza but now I have mastered making it it home.Its a lot of fun and not hard to do at all.we all choose what to put on it and its usually what we have on hand in the fridgie.almost want one rite now, but just made one 2 days ago.

For me, it depends on where we are ordering from... We have several pizza places to choose from and not all of them deliver. One delivers, but their delivery service is extremely s-l-o-w (thy tell you 40 minutes and take an hour and a half!) so we when we order from them we pick it up or eat there.

i seldom order a pizza they are so expensive. i love them. i always have it delivered & yes, i tip the delivery guy 10-15 %.

I always have it delivered, and I usually don't tip much, I'll give like $2 or $3. Poor delivery guys. But I don't have that much money to be giving away like that!! You know.

Its much better having it delivered since its much faster and the pizza would still be hot.Giving tips is like a reward to the one who deliver for a fast delivery.We do give tips but not that much.

Where we live there is no where close enough to deliver to us. There is a small place down the street but they don't deliver. So if we order anything we have to go get it. We used to live in an area where everyone delivered to us. It was so nice lol. We usually tipped the driver a few bucks depending what we could afford. Once place never got tipped because they always screwed up our order.

MY husband and boys all work for the pizza parlor in town. If we pick up, we get a 50% discount, so we usually pickup. When we have it delivered I always tip $2 + the change for a large pizza and wings. If we have a bigger order, I will tip more. You have to realize that many of these delivery guys are working for tips. They have to pay for their own gas, and the wear and tear on their vehicle. Also, they go out in snowstorms to get you your pizza. So do the right thing and tip generously.

If I order pizza, it's usually because I'm too lazy and tired to cook which means I'm all about delivery. Delivery is even better when it's freezing outside. I usually tip about 3 dollars.

we usually just have it delivered to us since its not that near where we live anyway, and yeah who ever buys pizza they give him/her a tip, just dont know how much. once in awhile we get in this mood to actually drive to the pizza place and either pick it up or just eat there.

It's usually pick up for me. I buy a box or two whenever i'm at the mall for the pizza store is far from my place. Just yesterday i cooked homemade pizza and I only had one slice...LOL! Delivery is okay too but i don't give tips for i wasnt the one who ordered it.

Seems like everyone but me tips. But i dont feel tight cos when i order i normally order for my whole household - at least 7 large pizzas. so i figure i have spent £50 on pizza they have had enough of my money. If the delivery guys were not getting paid then i would tip. Does anyone tip the garbage men every time they empty the trash? there just taking away what the pizza guy brought.
