Filtered Water

I'm just wondering how many of you are filtering or purifing your drinking water? I've just learned that bottled water is no better than your own tap water, so I've invested in a brita water filtration kit which I find very easy to use but has to frequently be refilled. I'm thinking of going with an under the counter type of water filtration system and would like to know what others may recommend.

Drinking clean, filtered water protects the body from disease and leads to overall greater health. Water filters greatly reduce the risk of rectal cancer, colon cancer, and bladder cancer by removing chlorine and chlorine byproducts from drinking water.Water filters provide better tasting and better smelling drinking water by removing chlorine and bacterial contaminants.

No matter what they say, tap water in my town is horrible. When you see sediments in the bottom of the glass from the tap, you have to wonder what is going on. It's not the pipes, I have a relatively new house - 3 years old. So I will take my chances on filtered water. I have Culligan in the kitchen for cooking and we buy bottled water for the cooler for drinking. I think you are wise to be safe with the Brita system.

We have a filter pitcher. It keeps the water cold and tastes a bit better. We keep water on hand for emergency and camping purposes.
