Do you HAVE ALLERGY?

I'm lucky enough that I could eat almost anything I want. Seafood, nuts and such. However, as much as almost anything I could eat, is as much as not all fancy jewelries and accessories I couldn't wear. And as a girl, you know the saying diamonds are girls' bestfriend. Well boy I'm glad, I ain't allergic with diamonds, but I do get allergy with plastics and steels, silvers jewelries. It kind of a little suck but I think at the same time it is a blessing in a way. Why? Cause, if I wear jewelries, that means I wear the real ones and not the knock outs, cause I don't get allergic reaction with gold and white golds and crystal stuff. Weird huh? I guess my skin is just luxurious enough to deal with the luxuries. Lol So, are you allergic with anything?

Well as far as I know there is no foods that I am alrgic to. I did once have some homemade soap that smelt so good and I bathed with it and it broke me out from head to toe. I was so upset because the soap smelt so good. I did discover when I was 9 years old that I was allergic to Demerol. I fell and broke my arm and they give me Demerol and I broke out from head to toe with hives. In 2003 I had to have surgery and the nurse came in and said "Lets go get your IV in and start your Demerol." Are you kidding me?? I told her I was allergic to Demerol and she said she did not know that they would give me morphine instead. Makes you wonder why you even fill out all that paperwork. Must be only to occupy your time and make it seem that you did not wait as long as you did. Because the nurses sure don't read it. They could have killed me. I always put in big letters that I am allergic to Demerol. That is the only thing that I know that I am allergic to. After the episode with the nurse that was going to try and kill me. I have often thought about trying to see of I could buy a bracelet that says that I am allergic to Demerol. If I was to have a car wreck or something and was unconcious they would never know.

Hi there Susan, Sadly I have had similar experiences to you. I'm not sure if you read my above posting but I am allergic to latex. It is written all over my medical charts and I even wear a medic alert bracelet and carry an Epi pen. Still, usually at least once during every hospital visit I have someone comes into the room with something that contains latex. Up until now I have always been conscious and able to stop the person before they make my situation worse and cause me to go into anaphylactic shock. Like you though I often wonder what would happen if I was unconscious and could not stop them before they did more harm. Unfortunately a sad but true problem in our hospitals and I even have a medic alert bracelet which is supposed to talk for me when I can not. Go figure? Happy Mylotting

I am allergic to penicillin. Found that out the hard way when I was a teenager. I was prescribed a medicine in the penicillin family and broke out in a rash. It didn't itch or anything but it looked as if I had chicken pox. Luckily it only lasted a few days and the doctor immediately took me off the medication.

I am allergic to peppers...especially green peppers. My tounge starts to swell up and cuts off my breathing. I then have to get a shot. It is pretty scary. It's a good thing that I don't really like green peppers or peppers in general. I am also alergic to pollen in the springtime.

My mom is allergic to peppers too! She's also allergic to black pepper. That is especially difficult for her when eating out because lots of restaurants sprinkle pepper on their foods!

Your fortunate that you dont have allergy to sea foods unlike me. I just discovered it when I ate prawn then suddenly my lips itch then my mouth down to throat. Also, my skin itch that it has become red and with huge map of thickened skin. Then, I had difficulty of breathing. By the I realized it was deadly having that experience. I also have allergic rhinitis. So now I'm not eating anything that has shrimp because I'm really scared to experience it again.

I'm very blessed to have no food or skin allergies. I am deathly allergic to cats, which is sad because I love cats. I'm allergic to most dogs, too, and I love dogs. But I can wear anything, eat anything and drink anything so I guess that almost makes up for it!

Wow, i can say that you are born to be rich with all the sparkling real diamonds and gold in your body. LOL. just be careful my friend everyone are beginning to feel the economic crisis and people around us might think of snatching or pickpocketing just to have money and real jewelries is a hot thing in their eyes. So it would be better to refrain not wearing it in public places. As for allergies i have one and that is cause about by dust. If in any case I smell on dust i can't help but sneeze the entire day and i need an anti-allergy medicine to avoid further damage. I think it is called allergic rhinitis.

I'm allergic to dust and any strong scents. I even sneeze sometimes when i'm brushing my teeth brought about by the toothpaste's scent. It's crazy. It's too inconvenient. Bath soaps, male restrooms, deodorant, etc all contribute to make me sneeze. Sometimes i sneeze endlessly and with me being used to it, i just end up counting the number of sneeze i get. I think i've proven the trivia wrong that man cannot go higher than ten consecutive sneeze. I think i got this in college sniffing second hand smoke from peer during breaks from classes.

Hi, I think you are not the only one, I haven't have any allergies to any foods, but when it comes to jewelries I can't wear fancies,That is why my jewelries are made only of white and yellow gold. Haha. I was wishing to wear fancy to match my outfit and a bit cheaper but I simply can't.So I am matching gems of different colors but can't wear them in my daily activities as it is not safe here in our place. So I am just keeping them for special occasion and keeping them as investment. Haha

I have seasonal allergies all year long, The worst for me is right after some rain moves thru the area. I'll be sneezing my brains out. I also have some pet allergies. These are the ones that bum me out the most. I am super allergic to cats(the whole sneezing, coughing, itching and swelling bit) and slightly allergic to dogs. The most unique thing that I am allergic to, which my brother still won't forgive me for, is pine trees. So, yes, that means no real Christmas trees for our family. That was discovered relatively easily by my pediatrician when I was a baby. The story goes, I got sick right around the holidays and wasn't getting better. So off to the doc's office. He asked my parents if we had a "live" Christmas tree. Of course they responded. Throw it away, he told them. They went home, my dad chucked th tree and presto, I was all better(after alot of vacuuming).

hi smooch091784... I am also lucky that I dont have food alergies and I could eat any food I want without having trouble of itchiness or any effect of allergies unlike some of my friends who cannot eat seafoods (my fave!). But recently, I cant wear my earrings because my ears becomes itchy and it gets wounded if I dont remove my earrings. I dont know, maybe I have allergies on this certain earrings because I'm wearing earrings since I was bron and I just experience this recently. So now, I dont wear any earrings at all.lol.

I'm lucky to not be allergic to any kind of foods (that I know of, anyways). I do have an allergy to any jewelry that's not gold or platinum. I guess it's because I have very sensitive skin. It kind of stinks, because I can't buy the cutesy little earrings and stuff that you can get at like Target. If I wear earrings, I have to wear stuff that's in my jewelry box, like always.

Hi there, Yes! I too have allergies. My number one allergy is to latex. Latex is the natural rubber found in many medical products as well as, balloons and now many molded handles and even rubber grip pens. Interestingly enough I have to be careful walking down the pen isle at business depot because I will start sneezing. We believe that my allergy to latex is due to multiple surgeries from a young age. As well as my ongoing medical needs, as I have cerebral palsy and use a power wheelchair. The worst thing about having the latex allergy is that many of our products are now made with mixed ingredients, so sometimes something I thought was safe turns out not to be. My allergy is severe enough that I also carry an Epi Pen in case I get into trouble with breathing. Interestingly I too an allergic to most jewelry. I tried to pierce my ears twice and had to let them grow over both times because they just would not heal properly, and I'd tried the best of the best jewelry before I gave up. It just didn't work and so now I'm earingless, but that's OK I guess there are many other things that could be worse. Happy Mylotting!
