We all have our favorite clothes. It's snowing and raining in places. It's hot and not so cool in others. Yet other places are freezing and below zero.
Today so far I'm not going out in the snow and cool weather. It's feezing temperatures here.
I am just wearing a sundress or summer dress as most call them. I have not gotten dressed for the outdoors as I don't plan to go out.
If I do wind up having to go out then I will put on some warm pants and a top to match of course. The some warm socks and tennis shoes. I wouldn't go out without a coat on as its'really to cold out there.
I know my husbanb since he is so considerate that he starts the truck for it to get warm before the children and I go out to get in it.
What are you wearing today? Do you have to dress in warm clothes? Do youget to be comfortable in summer things?

Summer dresses in winter? Are you nuts or do you keep your thermostat up around 80 degrees! LOL I wish I could wear summer clothes in the house in winter, but no chance. I have to wear my jeans and some kind of top (usually a sweater) because I'm constantly being called out of the house for one reason or another and only have time to slip on my boots over my woolly socks and grab a coat and hat....
So all my summer clothes get packed away at the end of fall, and only come out in early Spring. Let's see........that would have them packed away for about 8 or 9 months! OMG, I live in Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Sparks I'm a sight to seeI may have a sweater or sweat shirt over my dress. And I wear socks and house shoes on my feet. When I just sitting like here for instance I have a throw blanket that sits here too for me to cover with. My hose is cold not matter what I have the thermostat on. I have hole in places that need to be fixed on the house. They allow the cold to come in. I keep the termostat on 65 to 67.
I don't usually have to run out for much and if I do I quickly put on pants and sweat shirt or something warm and my coat.

Lucky you to be comfortable. I have a certain, shall we say, position in my little town, and I have to always be prepared for visitors and looking 'well turned out' as my mother would say. Life can be SUCH a burden! LOL

The clothes that I wear really depends on the weather and the occasion. In rainy days and it is quite cold i would usually wear something thick and warm but when it is kind of hot especially that I am from a tropical country then usually I wear something cottony and thin fabric clothes or else I be sweating in less time. I would just wear flip flops of easy mobility as long as I don't have to go to a place where flipflops is not accepted. I always dress depending on the weather and occasion. Since it is nighttime not as I write this comment and I will be off to bed any time soon I just wear a shorts and thin spaghetti strap shirt since it is kind of warm today.

I understand and believe this to be the case for everyone, letting what the weather is reflect what we wear. I wear sandles in the summer and as much as I can get away with it until it's cold then I wear my tennis shoes. The clothes too are less and lighter weight when it's warmer. Thank you for sharing.

Well thankfully there's a lot of heat on in my apartment building...uh a bit TOO much..LOL..and I can really regulate it as it's steam heat from a radiator...so I'm just futzing around the apt in an oversized tee-shirt and undies...I did go out earlier today but it was mild-ish too since it had been snowing earlier then changed into rain...so had my jeans and shirt and vest under my winter coat

I totally understand I have the same problem here today. I made a mistake in another post saying that it ws in the 4o's here yesterday...I think it was just wishful thinking as it was 30 degrees, lol. I hae to go out about lunch time today.
My husband and I are going to pick up his brother and bring him to the house for dinner. I can't stand the cold. Thank you for responding.

I live in Phoenix. It doesn't get too cold here. Not cold enough to wear too much of a coat for sure. In the mornings when I catch the bus, if its a little bit cool, I might put on a sweater under my suit jacket, but I don't usually need more than that.

It's not freezing in my country either. The good thing about the Philippines is that we don't have any extreme climate changes. It's always the same humid weather all year round. We wear summer clothes even in December, which is why flip flops are very big in my country. I'm just wearing a t shirt and shorts because I'm at home. But when I go out I'll put on jeans and a better top. :)

I live in the tropics, so I've got no issue about the weather and all that. I dislike the sun and I find the wind fine, but I'd like to see some snow, too.
Right now [as I'm typing], I'm wearing my undershirt--a white tank, high school jogging pants--that's pretty much it. It's a little humid, so... there.

Yes, this sounds very comforable. That's the way I like to dress most of the time. You would like to see some snow, lol and I would like it to warm up just a bit.
Thank you for sharing.

I'm wearing what I normally wear: a white hoodie, T-shirt, jeans, socks, and sneakers. That's pretty much what I wear year-round, unless it gets hot. Then I take off the hoodie.

I'm wearing a hoodie 3x my size, a t-shirt and jeans. There was a blizzard going on earlier that turned into rain, and now it's still freezing outside... :( I miss summer! The thermostat here is usually turned down to like 70 to save money on heating bills, so I have to go around in heavy winter clothes. Not too comfortable.

Oh, that's not good we have the same problem here. I'd much rather wear a nice summer dress and it not be too hot outside. The summer bills or spring anyway are so much less than the winter ones. Thank you for sharing.

Today I'm wearing nice warm Teri-cloth pants and a shirt that's a little more fancy then what I would normally wear because I thought I was going out today. However, my program got canceled due to the blizzard.

Oh my, I'm sorry to hear about the blizzard. The economy is hard enough. Having times when you can't go to work from the weaher is just not something that people enjoy these days. But to be able to get things done while being stuck at home is great.

It is so cold here right now. Its snowing a lot out! I have the heat set on 64. Between the time that it gets cold enough for the furnace to kick back on it seems quite cold. We usually wear lots of layers. My son has a onesie on under his blanket sleepers and then an outfit over all that. The floor in our kitchen is very cold and with him liking to crawl everywhere I want him to stay warm. My daughter is still in her blanket sleepers as well. I have on my pajamas but also a sweatshirt over my shirt. I am being lazy and taking my time before I get dressed. I'm so tired today. I'm always tired though so I don't think the fat that I stayed up later made much difference. I'll have to go take my vitamin and drink some soda.

Yes, that instant jaunt of caffiene will help for a short time. I usually drink 2 of the slim fast a day as they are chucked full of the vitamins and minerals we need on a daily basis. They give me energy and help me to feel better. If I have not had any for awhile then it takes about 4 or 5 days to get it built up enough for me to feel really better.
That is sweet that you have young ones. I keep my thermostat at about the same as you, 65 to 67 degrees. I have throw blankets all around the house for cover. Our house shoes help for the cold floors as I have wood and ceramic, very little carpet, just in the den and bedrooms.
Thank you for sharing.
