I want a Tattoo - Does it hurt??????

just a little & it takes a day or two untill it goes away

what do you want a tattoo of? where do you want it? the pain definitely depends on where you get it done.

i had a tattoo done on across my lower back, which is supposedly one of the most painful parts to get it done. i thought it was painful but tolerable. just think, sooo many people have one, if they hurt so bad, no one would get them. the one across my back took about an hour and a half. but the pain was worth it =) just go for it, you'll get addicted after the 1st tattoo.

I always wanted a tatto but always been afraid to. I might still get one since some people tell me it isn't that bad

even i never had one...but fr sure i think it does hurt...but i think u can bear that much pain if u dare to get it done...waise...when u gt piercing done that also pains bt gals bera it..so i think u shld gt onw without thinkin about the consequences

Like the sign I saw in a tattoo shop said, "If tattoos didn't hurt, wimps would get them, too." I have 4 tattoos. Not all of them hurt. Tattoos generally only hurt when they doing it on a bony area. I about came out of my chair when the tattoo artist was doing my tattoo on my chest. When he hit the bony area of my rib cage, I had to grab the chair and grip it hard to withstand the pain. It was horrible, but I got through it. My honey has a tattoo around his neck that goes down to the middle of his chest. So I know he went through more pain than I did. My best tattoo with no pain is the cute red rose on my left butt cheek. All fleshy there so no pain. That's the way to go ;) Good luck! Small tattoo would take roughly an hour or so.

I have 3 tattoo's so far and am gonna be getting another three done, mine are located on my chest, left fore arm, and my right bicep and I can say that all it felt like was a midge bite, nothing more than that... heres the design of the tattoo that I had done recently...

I have 7 and I can tell you it depends on where you get it. Every area will get numb after a while though. Like my most hurtful one was on my chest. You can see it in my picture. The one on my arms hurt the least.

Yes, it does hurt. It wasn't unbearable pain, though, and I thought it was worth it. I have one on my lower back - it's about 5 inches by 4 inches. It is only black, no color, and it took about an hour. The pain is the worst at the beginning but then it doesn't seem so bad. If you aren't sure you can take it, ask them to start with the needle and no ink, just so you can see how it feels. Then you can decide and you won't have anything permanent if you change your mind.

It depends on your pain threshold. Neither of my tattoos hurt, though for some people they're very painful. It depends on the size/location of the tattoo, as well.

i don't have one. but i heard they hurt around on the neck area and any other area that isn't tough with muscles

the firt 5 minutes and after you don't feel anything

I think is hurt because i have a friend who made one on shes leg she she said that it hurt her but not soo much.I mean that you won't cry for a small one.

Honey, it feels like rug burn. I got one on my neck and one on my shoulder. Its irritating and burns a little... like rug burn!
