It has snowed like 2 feet here in the last couple days and I am miserable. It is cold, wet, and truely disgusting. I mean, it's nice to look at but I'd rather look at it in pictures or on tv or somewhere other than my front yard. My floors are wet, my shoes are wet, my cloths are wet. Grrrrrr. My hubby has to shovel a path to get to our vehicle and then we have to battle the roadways and try to drive in this muck...I just want to scream! Does anyone else hate snow? Does anyone else wish it never snowed in their town again?

OMG!! where do you live?? I could not handle that much snow I just could not;
Here in Missouri we got only a couple of inches, some sleet & freezing rain this week but I thankfully missed out on all the freezing rain that was more south of Missouri, WE had our huge ice storm last year so I guess the southern part was due
for the mess this year, it was bad;
But I'd take snow any day over that stinkin ice you know?
Yikes! Two Feet the most we've ever had here was like 15- 18" one year and I don't
ever want to have to go through that kind of snow here again...it was AWFUL!!
Pray for spring, I know I am (G)!

Oh we had several hours of frozen rain. All of our snow is mixed with ice. It is terrible. I always thought missouri was a big snow place... I live in Indiana and its really hit and miss here. Although I can say that the blizzard type weather is happening a little more frequently now.

Yea, we thought about moving to Texas! So you actually got snow there? We think about moving to Arizona or New Mexico, possibly Texas but it's a pipe dream. I can't believe it frikin snowed there to! I guess if it can snow in Hawaii it could happen anywhere!

Oh yeah, isn't it nice how they can ruin 5 hours worth of hard manual labor in less than 15 seconds? I detest and loathe it as well. I intend fully to move to Hawaii when I win the lottery!

Hi ya pspurgeon1
I think given the chance to most English people right now they would swap places with you in a shot! I know I would. We so rarely get snow and I would love to
have the chance to take my kids out and go sledging, have a snowball fight, make snow angels and to make a snowman in our back garden. I do understand it must be a bind after a while and you probably get the same every year too don't you? I think if I was you I too would feel the same. Please send some snow this way it would be gratefully received!! Cheers

Well, if they can get snow in Hawaii which was a first ever then I'm sure we could get you some snow. Be careful what you wish for though, it really is such a pain! I mean, I do like to sled but like I said, the preperation and cleanup is such a pain in the hiney that I'd rather not have it at all. Do you get alot of fog over there? I probably wouldn't like that too much either cause I love sunshine but SNOW SUCKS! I'll try to post a pic of our neighborhood on my profile in a bit!

I love snow, but I think that's because we hardly ever have it where I live. That means that it's a real novelty when we do get it!
I really love sledging and making snowmen. It brings back lovely memories of childhood when me and my younger brother played in the snow :)

I probably wouldn't mind it so much if I only had to deal with it every few years. I think having to drag the girls out in it to go anywhere is the worst part of it. That and getting wet pants bottems every time I step outside...

I've been waiting for a few weeks now for that huge snow storm to come my way here in Georgia. They said on the news just the other day that it's going to eventually come, so my husband and I are getting our blankets and things together to wait for it. I also hate snow, but I'd rather have cold weather than extreme heat, just a personal opinion, although it is fun to play in a reasonable amount of snow...that is, until you're too frozen and cold to move anymore. ^.^

Do you ever step in snow that came off your shoe when your in your socks or barefooted? That's my least favorite part! One year we had a blizzard here and couldn't even leave our house for days! Our pipes froze and it was a nightmare. I think I'm scarred for life.

Me too! I would be ok with the occasional snow but no ice and it has to go away asap! I wouldn't mind sledding but taking my girls out in it would be a pain!

Yes, I know what you are saying, but it doesn't have to be this way!
I was born, raised, and spent the first 60 years of my life in Ontario, Canada, where winter starts in October and finally melts away in May. The old farm house was heated with wood, and the snow piled up around the windows like you wouldn't believe. Then my wife contracted cabin-fever, and I bought a 5th-wheel to tow behind my truck ( to relieve my wife's symptoms)and we started going south in the winter. Florida at first, and then we found Texas. Now we own a mobile in a nice trailer park in South Texas. We come down here in October and go home in May. I have Grapefruit and Bananas in the back yard, I haven't shoveled snow for more than 10 years, and my wife no longer gets cabin-fever.

We got two feet of snow last night and we're supposed to get another foot in three days. It's been a bad winter so far, and it doesn't look like it's going to let up anytime soon. I HATE THE SNOW. It was mixed with freezing rain toward the end of the storm last night, so it was REALLY difficult to clear when we woke up to make this discovery. Stupid weather. Grr.

Yep, we had freezing rain for several hours so our snow is all mixed with ice. It's horrible. Hard to shovel, impossible to walk or drive on. It's not even good enough to sled on or something. It would probably rip the sled in half! We're supposed to get some more here on Monday or Tuesday. Yeah, whoo hoo...

My two year old has just started saying "cheers"! LOL I just thought that was funny! And I would LOVE to live somewhere where it doesn't snow! It seems though that if you get rid of one annoying thing you gain another like mudslides, earthquakes, forest fires, floods, etc. Global warming anyone? :-)

It doesn't snow in my country at all. But I have lived in a place where it snowed during winter before and you're right, snow's not that pleasant. it's only nice to look at, but once you need to shovel the driveway, or if you have a hard time walking on the streets, or when you slip and fall, then it's horrible. Snow makes a lot of mess. And I hate having to bundle up to go out. It makes me feel fat and awkward. A little snow is fine because every time I see snow, I am excited and happy. But when it snows heavily, then I just don't want to go out anymore!

Oh yea, ask my hubby what he thinks about all that shoveling! He's way over it. My little neighbor boy has been out shoveling for fun for a few days now. He has alot of energy to burn. I would rather do dishes!

hello psspurgeon
i am so sorry that your so sick of the snow. it finally snowed here this morning in the Nashville area. whoo hoo! we hardly ever get any snow here these days. when i was a teenager growing up around here it used to snow lots. i guess global warming took over or something like that. but anyways, we had less than an inch of snow this morning around here. also, they closed the schools for the area here today as well. if there is black ice hanging around in the morning, there probably won't be any school again tomorrow.
take care and have a beautiful evening.

Yeah, it was warm here until Christmas this year. It was insane. I didn't get the winter coats out till December. It was crazy. Gotta love that ozone desinigration! NOT. That ice is horrible too. I guess if it was just snow it wouldn't be so bad but we always have ice with it and that is bad for everything. Walking, driving, you name it. S'ok. I'll get over it! I just hope my six year old gets to go back to school soon. She absolutely loves school and has been out for over a week.

Yea, my mood is definitly easily affected by the weather so I much prefer a nice warm, sunny day. I am ready for SPRING!!! I told my husband I would be standing at the groundhog hole to shoot it as soon as it appears so it doesn't have a chance to see it's shadow and curse us for more time in the ice prison!

We have not gotten that much snow. I hate snow. I am praying Spring will come early this year. We get so cooped up in the house in the winter. I love it when it is warm, sunny and the grass is green.

I love spring too. I love the smell of fresh cut grass and chlorine! I want to move to a state where there is no snow. I would love for spring to come early too! We don't get any outside time in the winter either. The girls love building snowmans and stuff but most of us don't own snowsuits so it's a bit difficult to get out there when you inevitably end up getting soaked to the bone!

Yes, I hate snow too! I hate snow and I hate cold weather. I grew up on the east coast and it rarely snowed there. The rare times that it did snow, we only got a couple inches. And the whole city would shut down! We are now in the middle of the state in California. It never snows here and it doesn't get too cold. The temperatures drop at night but during the day it's not too bad. It's actually been in the 60s for the past month. I feel bad that we're having such mild temperatures and all the other states are getting all that snow and ice. I feel for you!

I would love to live somewhere it doesn't snow. I hate rain too but I'd rather have a week of rain then 2 days of snow! I agree that the weather has been ultra screwy. This year our fall weather lasted until Christmas! I hope spring comes early, I don't know what I'd do if it was late!
