I know most of us write here and other places on a daily basis. We take pride in things that we write. Even if it's to answer a question from a disscusion that was started in sites like mylot.
Do you write other places? Do you really enjoy writing? Is it just a way for you to get some money or do you actually enjoy it?
What type of writing do you do? Do you have a place to go to for writing more than what you do here?
I love writing. I do forget many times what I wanted to say before I can get it down on paper or written in an site I go to.
I have a few sites that I like.,
tattylashes' site it's really a nice place to go and unwind just to enjoy reading nice stories and relax with people we know. There is no money earned there it's a just for fun site. If she can get some places to pay her for posting on her site then she will pay for posting. But for now it's just for fun.
I go to WAHM.com I really like this site to. I get lots of information from this one.
So where youdo write and what type of things do you write? Do you enjoy it?
Thank you for responding.

hello moondancer
let me first start my response by saying that i really like your screen name here at Mylot. now, yes, i enjoy writing. i have been trying to be active around here at Mylot now for the past couple of weeks. also, i like Gather's website as well as MoraChat's website. both of those websites are discussion forums. Gather's website, you earn points for what you post, then you can exchange your points for different things that they have to offer on their website. and on MoraChat's website, every time that you post there, your earnings are automatically updated with each post. whoo hoo! but i do favor Mylot's website over all of them that i have found so far to make extra money on.
take care and have a beautiful evening.

Thank you for the compliment. I too am in Tennessee, I'm about 80 miles SE of Nashville. It's nice to see you, welcome to the lot. I to am a member of gather although like you I favor this site more than any of the others I'm in.
I hope you have a wonderful evening too. Thank you. Blessings to you and yours.

Yes, writing is my hobby too. One site I have been writing at the last three months is "Review Stream". This is where one can write brief reviews on a variety of topics, things one comes across in one's day to day activities, hotels, airports, airlines, shopping, movies, restaurants, and so many. One can also earn for writing reviews here, not a huge amount, but still interesting.
Take a look at it, if you would be interested too.
Enjoy writing !

Thank you green. I appreciate your invite. I have not heard of this place and I've heard of many from the friends here over the time here. Not to mention wahm.com
I like writing reviews and have the stores I do this for.
Thank you for sharing.

The two main places that I write every day (besides MyLot) are Gather.com and Helium.com. They are completely different from MyLot as well as each other, and each offers its own unique value to me. With MyLot, all you need to do is respond to questions or ask them. This is probably the simplest of all, but not the biggest money maker. It can take me months before I get anywhere close to cash out, but I do learn about a lot of things (including new sites) here.
Next, there's Gather, which is pretty informal and more interactive. You can post any sort of article, photo, or video. You earn points, which you can then turn into cash (via PayPal) or gift cards. It's a slow process for me to get to cash out but I probably enjoy the people there more than any other site. I have also won contests there, so while I might not earn much on a monthly basis, I have had some great surprises!
I have written for other sites, and I write book reviews as well (no payment, but free books).
Then there's Helium. I like the site because they come up with the topics for you. You just choose what you know about or would like to research. You can earn a lot more by doing their contests or writing for their Marketplace, but slow and steady also wins the race. Right now, I am in a zone with them, writing about art history, which I love, so I am learning and enjoying myself.

Of course. Everybody writes about things. You can't avoid writing about things. At least, I don't see how you can. I mostly like to write about politics and poetry. Those are my favorite things to write about but everything else no matter how infrequently I write about it is still a thing.

LOL, I actually had to check to see if I'd already responded to this!
I write all the time. About anything that comes into my head and captures my attention. I write in a lot of different styles, but they all have the ring of a Sparks bit of verbiage. Like the 'sound' that identifies one musical group from another, writer's develop a 'sound' of their own, no matter what they write. And my sound is quite distinctive I think. Drives my editors nuts though, because they say my sound is soooooooo grammatically challenged! LOL

I like to write about almost everything. My family, my animals, the land we live on, my past and how it affects my present, fantasies (like other worlds), I would love to get paid for writing, but I write to keep myself sane. I work out my problems on paper, my hates, my loves, my worries, I put everything on paper. It's my world sometimes.

I do understand and know exactly what you mean. I write everything on paper as well. Really when I'm upset about something writing my feelings down and what happened to put me in the state I am in really helps me to calm down. I write a lot and lot writing. It also helps me to slove problems when I'm writing about something particular because I come up with an answer to my problem.
Thank you for sharing.

I love to write, and I always have loved it. When I was younger I wanted to major in Journalism (but that never happened.....I majored in accounting instead). But I never knew I could make any money writing until I found Ciao. That was the first site I wrote for (and still do). I also write for Epinions, and CBU (Compared By Us). I am also a member of an HP forum (by invitation only), where a group of business women write about many different things of interest. Ciao has recently changed the way they pay, so I am not making much there. I really do not make much on Epinions, either, but I just enjoy writing for them. There are some great writers on that site, and I enjoy reading their work and learning from them how to better myself. I am new at CBU, so I have not been paid yet. But I must say that I accumulated some money there pretty quickly. However, due to spammers and cheaters (unfortunately), they too are having to make changes on their payouts. On the HP site, we earn a gift certificate each month if we participate at least once a week. So, as you can see,I write for the joy of it, and anything I make doing that is just a bonus.

If I sat down to write something I probably wouldn't get very far. I write on here because I have an opinion on what someone else has already started. I wouldn't write if I actually had to sit down and come up with something like a book or article.

I love writing not because it's obviously am here, rather because I enjoy to write other than talking. I write everything what is on my head -everything under the sun. I think, I have 4 or 5 writing and paying websites, but I find Mylot more different like the other sites. The interests have a wider range compared to the other sites which I am a member. My grandfather is a writer, so perhaps it's innate to inherit that.
Writing is also part of my job in the legal field. I enjoy to write here in Mylot not just because of the money that I earn, because if it is only for the money, I would not spend so much time here instead focus more where I could earn big bucks. The reason why I stay here is because the discussions or topics have a close impact or have personal touch which happens in our daily lives or in reality. I write because it's my way of diversion and stress release.

I am not a great writter, I don´t even call myself writter. I think once or twice in my life I did great writtings. But I do like writting and like you I forget so many things before putting them on paper or posting them on my blog. Yes I have two blogs. And one of them is a personal diary, where I write about things that interest me and sometimes about very personal thoughts and feelings. I also fell in love even more with writting after mylot. It´s amazing how many real people you meet on this site and you are able to share feelings and thoughts with :-)

yes denorah you are right. I too love the lot. I have so many really good friends here. Although I've lost several because of the copy cat as of late.
I love writing and I too don't think many of the things I do are good enough. We are rough critics on us, lol. Thank you for sharing.

I love writing and that is the reason I am here on mylot. I have written a few poems which are published on Associated Contents. I have written a short story, too. A couple of my poems have been published in Indian Youth Magazines. If you like reading short stories, I am sure you would like this one. Here is the link:

Well, I read your short story...it had gore, violence, love and pain. The end surprised me. To see the reason for the killing, that was a different ending and I didn't expect it to end that way. It's a nice story. Thank you for sharing with me.

I am good at poetry. I am not comfortable sharing with others. My fiance is the only one who reads my work. He enjoys it. I usually write romance poems, depressed poems, and sad ones. The reason i write that kind is I right based on what i am feeling. The weirdest poem i have written is one about mosquitos. It was real good. I don't know what i did with it though. Might of threw it away.

I always love to write things that I want. I prefer writing because It gives me more things to be remember. I do write poems composed by me. Documenting things that happened to my life.
As to photography, I also love to catch images of different views. Try it. Make writing as hobby. I hope someday, they will remember me just because of my work. I also love writing just because I like collecting different colors of pen.
