Multi level marketing is a dirty concept. One has to beg around people for joining. I personally do not like it. I cannot stoop down.

it is a gr8 concept if treated well..people are advised of overnight riches at times by selfish people which as any marketeer will agree cannot be farther from the truth..it requires a lot of hard work and patience..things of course would have been easier if there wouldn't have these companies who rob people of their money and run away..its more a case of one bad fish spoiling it all..having said that there are more than a few bad fish around..

A lot of people selling the dream that cannot communicate how to get the job done. A lot of people that don't have the persistence to stick it out until it gets going. MLM avoids brick and mortar, inventory (in some cases), employees (which some distributors might as well be for all of the issues) and accounts receivable, but beyond that, it's business as usual. starting and running a business is tough work and often fraught with failures, MLM or not.

I think there have been some programs that have not been legitimate. I think people have been burned by some of the shadier fly by night mlm schemes. I think it is a great business model as long as everything is out in the open and they follow all the regulatory rules. I for one believe there are good ones out there, it is a few bad ones that give the industry a bad name.

The stigma is, that many people misuse it to attract others with the wrong and selfish promise "to become rich, easily and fast". In fact it is a well established marketing stratety based on recommendation and needs hard and selfdisciplined work.... I myself am in Herbalife, who started some 20 years ago and anybody can join me on www.abc-trend.com since years ....any new distributor on an average has cost me more than 1000 US$ before he/she is successful and then will start my benefit from his/her success .... this procedure mostly takes more than 1 year of education and at the same time I maximum can coach 5 persons in parallel. By the way, one of the best protagonists of MLM was Jesus .... his thoughts also have started to spread by nothing else but recommendation and still they exist:)))

The main concept of MLM is share the benefits to the consumer directly from companies. Hitherto this were enjoyed by c&F agent is legitimately extended to all the cunsumers. There is no stipulation for compulsory to make or create downlines/sponsoring. One who interested to earn money through this opportunity were making kind of 'stigma'.

Probably because people try to sign people up over the net when the don't even know them.

My view on it is that these people seem to be people looking for a quick (and sometimes illegal) buck and view their friends as dollar signs... I just don't like it.

Because most people are told it's a get rich quick by doing nothing plan. It can be a real business if YOU treat it as one. I earn a monthly check and sell my products locally for a decent profit every month. It can be done, but it won't happen automatically. You HAVE to do the work to reap the reward.

Multi level marketing is a good way to earn, however a lot of frauds have started this business and many people have lost money. If you are planning to invest make sure you are doing so in a reputed company.
