How far will some people go to make a buck?

Just how bad is the economy these days? Must be worse than I imagined. Last night at the bowling alley these little post-it notes started popping up all over the place. I thought they were someone's idea of a bad joke. They all said the same thing: Want a girl? Looking for fun? Call this number and ask for MONEY. I had a good laugh as did some of the other men.
On the way home we were talking about those post-its and it seems that, while I was bowling and not paying attention to what was going on at the top of the steps, a young black guy was handing these post-its out to the men that were there, trying to drum up some business for his "girl".
Now you know the economy is bad when pimps have to drum up business in a family bowling center!

I would go as far as I can just to make buck because right now, I need to earn money so that I can go back prcticing my sport. Well... I think people these days will try anything to make money because of the econmic crisis that we are suffering right now...

oh my goodness! I cannot imagine what it would be like to see something like this in my bowling alley especially since my youth group goes bowling there. I would never imagine going that far to get some extra bucks. It may be a hard economy right now, but it will never be that bad for me.

Oh my goodness... A guy handing these out. Now this is getting pretty Bad, and personally I think that is the wrong type of Business to be able to hand out these. I know that the economy is Bad and such as I am feeling the pinch of things, but I feel this is going too far for sure. Wonder why people would even consider stooping to something like this in the first place?

Human trafficking does happen in the United States. We don't see it because the gangs who engage in this are pretty tricky. That $20 to a Human trafficker is pure profit, as he need not give his 'worker' money or even food if he (or she, women do it too) doesn't see fit.

Plus, if you are a member of a marginalized group, $20 for a ahem is maybe all you can find in the way of 'work'. Marginalized groups in the US can include transsexuals, Homosexuals in some communities, illegal immigrants, people too young to legally work but unable to live at home aka runaways, etcetera.

Words fail me .Someone should go to the owner of the alley and report him.Family men taking their kids out ,what ever next.I feel sorry for the girl what a life to have to live.Anyway I would have thought a bar would have been a better place to find customers,surely family men have less money then single men for that.

Oh good grief! A pimp at a bowling alley...now I've heard it all! HA HA HA!!! Too bad the post its didn't say "bring in this coupon and recieve a double for single price!" Now THAT would have drummed up some business! lmao. Thanks for making me smile =)

Wow...that's desperate. Depending on what state your in, maybe it was too cold to walk the street. I'd hate to be used that way too...it makes the girl seem like nothing more than a piece of meat.

wow that's kind of funny. I would of been laughing if i had seen something like that and i probably would of called the number too.. not thinking it's real but that would be funny. I don't know why they would go to a place like that though.. you would think they would pick a better place to get some business in less he is just being lazy and the bowling center is just real close to where he lives lol

That is really terrible thing to do, someone should tell hin to move on, its not nice to drum up that knid of business at a place like that, we are all suffering but we don't all do that sort of thing.

Everyone should go bowling if they are able, it's lots of fun 
Normally we don't get pimps at the bowling alley, the girls are usually walking the highway outside looking for their earnings. About the only time the girls ever come into the bowling alley is when they have to go to the bathroom. Even the girls have more sense than that guy!
