Selective Commenting

Hey Everyone.
When we create a discussion, we will of course get some responses. From the responses that you get, will just do give comments to some selective responses?? Or is it just on the whole???
Some discussions will left out without commenting at all. If its just some of the particular persons discussion, then its fine. I can understand that they are busy. If the person doesn't have the commenting back, then its too bad.
Other than these, there is another type named "Selective commenting". I will be disappointed if I am one of those who are left out. Of Course we do take some time responding to their discussion, then why is that they should leave our response without commenting???
Do you do that?? I never do that. I will respond to all the members who have taken some time to drop some quality response.

For those who performed that way, they are a "species" who don't understand to parts in myLot earnings program. Firstly, any posted new discussion found "DWNR"(Discussion With No Response) will get no earnings. Secondly, they don't read the "How do I maximize my earnings" and "How do I calculate my earnings" stated in FAQs. Where QUALITY RESPONSES & COMMENTARIES do make more earnings to their discussion.
In general, any social networking one member needs friendship to network them to each other to look for another sources of income. Meaning, they are self-centered and need no networking in earning online.
But, if they earned less they are outspoken in creating bad reputation about myLot on other sites that they participated. In fact, myLot had prolifically done the lucid explanation about it to harmonized them in their myLotting activity.
Any new discussion, if uploaded thru "interest" added up with related quality photo and plus receiving many Quality Responses and Quality Commentaries, really really really maximize their earnings on myLot.
If they know all those above, they will pay respect to all their responders and responses, by adding up their Quality Commentaries. The world of e-networking as well, where more money able to be shared with myLot friends in outside world. The real conventional and digital products money.

Very well said man. I loved your response.
I do also suggest these things to others. First we have to place the discussion in proper interest. When we actually make comments to our discussion, our discussion will come first in the "Recent" page. So that will get some members views and will increase the chance of getting more responses.
Of course as you said, gaining friends is very important. If we keep on giving good responses to the discussions and good comments about their responses, they will come back to look for our updates.
Probably yes those who are not doing this must be the ones who are earning low over here and complaining about mylot in other sites. Lol.

Hello my friend vidhyavini Ji,
First of all, I would not get so many responses, of my discussions, that I would not
be able to response. I also believe that all responses must be commented. But when our
string becomes long, a tiime comes when we have to put a knot, so we may simply rate
and leave it. But I do agree that each response must be honoured. There have been many
such discussions, where members felt taht some times for some topic responses cross
more than 100 and I still find comments for each. By commenting each your posting
remains same. One thing could be done, all resomses, gist could be relied by one new
discussion. May god bless you and have great time.

Ya very true. But once we crossed our 500 posts, we will be able to copy and paste. We can atleast copy paste Happy mylotting and post that in all the comments area to just indicate that they have read the comment. We can't see if the response is rated. But when posting something we can identify that they read it. Lol.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

Well it is a long time since I have started any discussions because the time I can get online can be rather erratic. At times it might only be a couple of days between visits but other times it can actually be weeks or even longer. It all depends on my work schedule as I am an interstate truck driver and so sometimes I am away from home all week. Personally I think it is rude to start a discussion and not get back to read and comment on the responses. But I recently decided that when I know that I will be home several times a week for a couple of weeks, I will probably start some discussions of my own.
When I am responding to discussions, I do not automatically expect that the discussion started will make a comment to my response. It all depends on how many responses they receive plus of course how many discussions they have going at any one time. Yes it is nice to receive a comment and more so as I put a lot of thought into the responses that I make. I understand that it takes a lot of time to make a comment to each and every response and it is worse for those people who are on a dial-up connection as they are so slow.
However it does annoy me if I see that the discussion starter has made no comments at all and nor have they given a best response. I then start to wonder if they have even read the responses to their own discussion or not. I am very reluctant to contine responding to discussions where the person who starts the discussion never makes any comments. In some ways I think it is pointless to do so if my opinion does not matter to the person who started the discussion.

Yes you are right when you say that those members who do not have a lot of time or a slow internet connection would be better off if they started only 1 discussion at a time. That would mean they can read the responses they receive and comment on them where appropriate.
The other thing members should realise is that every time someone responds to or comments on a discussion, it comes back to the top. That means there is a good chance that some other member will see the discussion and make a response as well. What that means is the person makes more money from their discussion and also get a lot more responses as well.

Ya very true. When we see the person just starting too many discussions but not making comments, then of course its pointless to respond to them anymore. This is a discussion forum and it has to go on like that. Instead, some discussions just seems like questions and answers section. Lol.
And of course its understood that people who are busy won't be able to make comments. But if they are busy for a long period or if their Internet connection is slow, they can just make 1 discussion being active at a time rather than just flooding with new discussions. They can of course make response to the other discussions in the remaining time. Lol.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

Ya man very true. Our discussion comes in the top in "Recent" and "Friends started" section. Thats what I tell everyone. Anyway its of course their wish to earn good amount. Its just that people don't know the ways to earn in mylot and just know to make complaints that mylot is paying very low per post. Lol.
Happy mylotting man.

I will respond to everyone because they have taken time to respond too to my discussion. I do it this way or I'll not respons to a single one. I have discussions though that are halw way commented on . In the past some of my discussions are not commented on. I try my best though nowadays to react because responders would feelI value their contributions to the discussion. Cheers and happy mylotting.

Personally I try to give a general response to all of the responses that I get. I try not to respond to just one person because I don't want to hurt anyones feelings. If I don't respond it's not because I don't like that person, it's just that I am a stay at home mother of two with little time to use on the computer and I just can't respond to everyone. I hope that I have never hurt your feelings,LOL.

In that case its understood. But I have seen people where the discussion just has 3 responses. Out of which they give the comments to the other 2 and not for me. I never knew that person actually. But I took my time to respond to that one. Why not a simple comment indicating that he/she has read my response?? I wonder!!
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

Mostly I will try to comment all the response but some times if my discussion became very old and if someone answers it ,then I will just ignore it but I will read all the responses in my email.bUT COMMENTING AND GETTING COMMENTS ARE THE NICE PART OF THE DISCUSSION.

Ya very true. Only when we comment and get some more comments, that will be an exact discussion. Other than that, its just a question answer session. Lol.

I guess it depends on how interesting the topic is or how boring it can get. When you reply to one or two, you kind of have replied every one. why? because most responses are the same and meant well.

Haha. Very true. Even I have felt bored to make same kind of comments in all the response. But still I do it as the members were taking some time to respond me. But if its just 3 responses and if you were the only one left out, what will you think of that???

Its so frustrating not getting responce and not okay if one can not acknowledge responses. I do respond as well to those who comment on my post at least 90%. But some you respond to their comment nothing for you, they will not even for once check your own posts- maybe self centeredness!!hahaha

Ya very true. They just think that more discussions will earn them more amount and so they just keep on creating a new one without actually looking back at their created discussion.
If they stop and look back at their discussion and make proper comments, they will start earning good amount with a single discussion than in many other discussions. Lol.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

ITs good that you do the commenting thing. But it will be too good if the responded person comes back to visit our discussion and post something. Only then it will be an exact discussion. Lol.

Hi,
I have tried commenting on all those who respond to my discussions, but lately I was too busy with some other things, and I wasnt online with mylot for a lot of time. That's why there are many responses that don't have comment. That's when I decided that I will not start a discussion until I will have enough time to do mylotting.
I'm really sorry for those people who responded to my discussion but I never commented on it. for sure I was able to read it.
Have fun

Yup. Thats of course understood. Everyone might be busy for some days and so will be left out commenting. And I do accept that fact. Its great to know that you really want to comment back everyone.

I try to comment on every response but sometime i don't even know that someone has commented as the post i made was quite old but yes i do rate them all positive also as a token of thank you for replying. You have made a good post today vidya. Many people will see and think about the importance of commenting on their responses.

Ya you are right. If its too old, then I won't actually feel like responding to the discussion. Lol. And commenting not only makes the responder happy but will also earn the discussion starter. When they know about this, they might start commenting as well. Lol.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

I am always want to reply each and every post but some I can'nt do because it may be about some selective area. But when ever there are some general discussion each and every one can participate on that without requiring any sense of knowledge on that particular area. So open discussion like a general talking which all of us can be easily get involved on the discussion. Am I right, its about the theme and think that you are discussing.

i always try to comment to my friends,, yes i am selective when i have to respond some discussion.. since long time i never started a discussion and i only respond my friends.. because i found that sometime my discussions remains without any response.. event i started some meaningful discussion.
thats why now i only respond to friends discussion,
and time is another factor,, most of the people are now busy..
yes i want more good discussion,,
but it should be meaningful, and as your says quality discussion..
actually sometime it helps me to improving my English too..
so i think in mylot we have to keep in touch always,, and try to start good discussions.. and "regular commenting"..

Well, if you are on dial up like me, you might have to do it. ;) If you get 100 responses, and pages take ages to load, then you might have to spend all day or maybe your entire lifetime just responding. And many times, I really have nothing to say.
Cheers and happy Mylotting

Does that mean that you don't comment on the responses??? Then its of course not a discussion. Just a question answer thing. Lol. Aren't we supposed to create discussions here???
And I do accept the point that you say with the slow connection. But I can't take that as a excuse for not commenting. Lol.

I try my best to answer every response I get to my discussions. Once in a great while I may miss a comment and then when I find it I feel bad for having not seen it sooner. I answer it then if I can think of anything still relevant
There are some on here that never seem to answer their responses, but, that's their problem, not mine

Ya you are right. Its of course their problem if they are not commenting at all. They won't be getting too many responses and of course the earnings. Lol. But some do purposely do selective commenting. If I don't have anything to say about the response, I will add "Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting". Thats just to tell the person that I have read their response also.
But when its left out, I do get a feel that the particular person didn't read my response at all.
