obviously I like to read real book, but it s not possible for me to buy all those expensive book in real.so sometimes I have to read those unreal books.means E-Books. as I am a computer science student I can not afford to buy all those books which I need.but it is very easy to find all those E-books within a minute.

I'm also IT student. Do you have any favorite link to download e-book for free? especially to download univ books? I like real books and e-book as well. For me, no matter how, I'm very curious about the books that I like. So, if I find that book in e-book I will not buy the real one, I already finish and know the content of the book.

EBooks are downloaded on the internet and i don't really appreciate it. i'd rather buy it on the bookstore than download it for FREE, better to spend some money on quality books and appreciate the scent of each pages as i read it. it's a wise investment also buying quality books.

Oh I definately still prefer real books, it would kill my eyes reading on the computer and I just do not think it is the same. I love technology, all the things that we can do on a computer, but I just do not think that I will ever come around to liking e books.

I prefer real books specially if you still have a perfect eyesight. I won't risk myself if I know someday, there's a possibility that my eyesight may fail because of e-books. Much more is, real books are more comfortable to read rather than e-books.

Well, I prefer Real books more because Ebooks cause strain on eyes, and so its not good. But when I want a books which is not available in the market, or is too expensive otherwise to buy, then i would definitely go for an e book, if its available online!

I owned both. I buy books sometimes if I really like it but I get lots of ebooks. When I was in college though, I spend time in our library during my break and borrow books during the weekend. I love reading evidently and I love wasting my time reading novels/fiction.

Hi Donsky, I prefer the real, physical book that I can hold and read, rather than the ebooks online. It's the feel of turning the pages, that makes it more real. Moreover, I usually read books while lazing on the sofa or the bed, so if I'm sleepy, I could just put down the book and sleep. I can't do that with a laptop or a desktop! And reading from my mobile is really too strenuous on the eyes!

Yeah, it feels good to have a new book. And I think that you can't have that feeling when you download e-books.

I still go for the real books because I can locate the topics easier than the Ebooks. Everytime. And anytime I want to scan the pages I can do it right away.

I usually prefer reading real books, but sometimes i think ebook are more handy, like i don't have to carry extra load, and can just chuck it into my ipod touch. Also, i can generally, check out a book as a ebook first, and then decide if i want to buy it or not (see if its good or not, first then buy it is my usual style). But yeah, in the end if the book is good, i would end up buying the real book to keep it as a collection :)

I'm not a huge fan of E-books. They're okay for some things, but mostly the real deal is still better. I'm not really a huge reader anyways. I defintately think I would start getting a headache if I had to read an E-book.

it would be nicer to get hold of the real books but it would also mean expensive. so i prefer to read ebooks in fact i own a very wide collection of ebooks. i have them stored in my pda and i can access them anytime, anywhere, even with the lights off (because a pda has lights.) :-)

I have done the ebook and the audio book thing and both are ok, but it is not the same experiance as reading a actual paper book. I love to read, I love to hold the book, turn the pages. Reading a book versus an electronic medium is a totally different experiance...I read and work on a computer all day long all week long at work and do use the computer for things at home as well, but reading is pure recreation, a mean of relaxation. I don't know if I could ever fully convert to ebook format, besides that ebooks are way more expensive and it's just not as realistic to hold on to oh every ebook you've bought and read.

I think you have raised a very good topic here...but got to say, I prefer "books" NOT e-books....cozy up with a good cup of tea, a warm afghan, the fireplace going and a good book....let 'er snow & blow outside...or a blanket by a stream, with the trill of the birds as background...yes, I will take a book, anytime! I do notice a common thread in the answers...and that is the expense of books! I always find the books I wish to read...including a lot of the newest releases, at Thrift stores, recyling depots..and Sally Ann! What's written between the book covers is my intrigue...so I do not worry whether my book is in pristine condition or not...and I am part of the re-cyle, re-use program.

I'm with you, real books are great! I have a local used book store that will even find me the books I want at a really great price. I love small bookstores and the service you get. However, I will say that my husband is a total ebook nut. He has a progam that scrolls it for him and everything. I guess I just love being able to throw a book in my purse and know I have entertainment where ever I go that day.

I love to carry my books around as well. So that if I'm bored I could pull out the book, tune in to my ipod.
