U wash utensils in dishwasher or by hand?

I don't own a dishwasher, so I guess I don't have much of a choice but to wash it by hand. However, we have a maid right now who does the dishes, along with the other work. So I do the dishes only if she's on leave for some reason.

I put them in the dishwasher, is there some reason I shouldnt?

by hand and then throw them in the dishwasher to sanitize them.

probably sounds silly to many but i sort of do both... i "rinse" but with hot soapy water.. then put in the dishwasher to run daily

we always wash our utensils manually then with weekly or in many occasions we sterilize utensils in boiling water for about 5 to 10 minutes.

i wash with my hand. we don't have a dishwasher here at home so i really have to wash it by hand. washing dishes is my favorite chore :) as long as teh pots and pans are excluded.

My answer is simply that my husband has a dishwasher in the house. That would be me, his wife. Lol. Anyway, I really don't feel the need for a dishwaher. To me it kind of wastes time. I might as well just rinse, wash and dry all by myself. To tell you the truth, sometimes I find it relaxing. Long live the manual dishwasher!

normally the number of vessels are less. i wash them by hand. but in case the vessels pile up i put them in dishwasher. i share the apartment with 2 more guys. all chores are shared on turn. so i wash the utensils by hand once in 3 days !!

i am old fashion so i was by hand,i think if i had a dishwasher i still would wash by hand.hAVE a great day!!

I do both but shouldn't put our's in the dishwasher. They have a metal piece thing on them and it is coming loose on some of the silverware but they say you CAN put them in the dishwasher so I do, I feel that they get cleaner better.

hello missmary!. i do wash plates and utensils by hand. we dont have a dishwasher here and unfortunately i am assigned to do the washing. i hate it because i have to wash all the time and some of the people here are always eating. they cant even wash their own plates. i am holding my patience as it bugs me that my cousins are always teasing me about washing the plates all the time and they dont wash at all. they just do minor things.. duh!. i hate it. dont you?

i washed them with my bear hands.. it's enjoying, besides we don't have dishwasher in our kitchen so i have no choice..but to do it by myself alone.
