I was out getting a few things at Walmart last night and I got the kids a cup of popcorn chicken from the Deli. Driving on the way to my brothers house I popped on in my mouth and felt a CRUNCH. I immediately spit the food out in my napkin. I looked when I got to my brothers house and it was GLASS. INSIDE a piece of chicken. It is a good thing I bit that piece not one of my kids. I called Walmart and they want me to come in and talk to them.
Have you ever found a foreign object in you food? What was it?

That is a very good thing that you bit into that chicken and not your children. Walmart probably wants you to come in and talk to them so that you wont go to the media and it gets all public and becomes an open investagation, glass in popcorn chicken is very dangerous I would want to know how it got there. One time I was eating spinach purchased from walmart and I thought I bit into a ladybug it was a crunchy wing it was so small and I just spit it out and threw the rest of the bag of spinach in the garbage because it was around the same time a couple of years ago when spinach was recalled due to if I remember correctly solmonella or e-coli outbreak. Good thing your mouth did get cut.

wow, that's really scary finding an object in your food. i'm glad that you and your kids are alright. who knows what would have happened if they bit into it. anyways, i haven't found anything foreign in my food, other than strands of hair that don't belong to me. the moment i see my food is contaminated with something (or even if a bug lands on my food) i dont have the stomach to eat it. i hope that your issue with walmart gets solved in a reasonable manner and that they take it seriously. glad you're okay!

Oh my word! That could have killed someone, as I'm sure you know. When are you going to talk to them? I bet they are thinking you might sue them. They better be glad you noticed or they could have been liable for a whole lot of trouble. Let me know what happens, okay?

I talked to them a little bit ago. I asked for a manager and they tried to keep it to a customer service manager. She was not much help. She actually wanted to keep the glass and the chicken. That was NOT happening! I got it back and talked to a real manager. He told me to call corporate and talk to them about it. Something about having to go through corporate first. He said they were just going to call the store back and tell them to take care of it, but he said it had to go that way.

That could have ended badly. You could have cut open you esophagus and/or your stomach and/or your intestines. This is beyond excuse. It'll be interesting to see what they have to say. Do not hand over the evidence! If you wanted to, you could sue them for a handsome sum.
I was lucky enough not to find anything dangerous really. I found the occasional hair and was grossed out and stopped eating. Made me want to throw up. But other than that, no.

Yes, that makes sense. They want to get the evidence out of the way. They are all aware of the potential of damaging law suits. I'm sure they are all instructed to immediately seize anything that could be used against them or their department/store. Did they offer you anything to make up for it?

Thank goodness, you and your children were not hurt. You might want to speak with your lawyer first before going to Walmart. I'm sure they want to take the evidence and keep it hush hush. I've never found foreign objects in food that I've purchased before, unless you want to count someones hair as a foreign object. I guess it would be considered that especially since, it doesn't belong there and isn't part of food that I'm consuming. Thank God you didn't swallow any of that glass!

ouch that's scary dear, imagine your kids almost eat that chicken with a broken piece of glass, why the hell did walmart became irresponsible, its a food we'll it and its a sharp glass that could kill us and our children when we failed to notice it firsthand.
if its a hair strand or a paper or plastic then i could understand since its not as harmful as the cutting glass.

That could of caused some serious damage lilybug. I'm glad it wasn't one of your children that bit into that but still, it could of been dangerous for you.
I don't think anything like this has happened to me.

You can probably sue them if you want to. There is no way that should have happened. You are right that your child could have been hurt. It is really'not cool tht that happened. I hope that you are going to follow up with this and let them know exactly what happened. I guess that you are really grateful that no one was hurt.

Oh my gosh that is alarming! It's a good thing you noticed it because if you did ate it, it might damage your intestine and stomach! You have the right to sue! What did Walmart advice you? That is real scary... I once saw a bug in my food but yours is more scarier than that!

I would definately go and talk to them. I would explain to them tha it is a good thing it wasn't your kids. I would also find out exactly how it got in there. Did they prepare it around somewhere there was broken glass or is it frozen and maybe the company sent it that way. I would surely try to get to the bottom of it. Good Luck!

They got it from Tyson. It comes frozen and all they do it throw it in the fryer. It was actually inside a piece of chicken. I talked to one of the managers tonight and he said to call corporate and see what they want the store to do about it.

I am glad that you and your kids are alright. I have had a few things like that happen to me, friends and family members. My aunt went into a popular restaurant and when she got her meal there was baby mice in it... Gross! I went to a fast food place and got this girls retainer in my food. She said she put it on the shelve and she guesses one of the others reached for something and it much have fell in. She got her retainer back and my meal was free. I was not hunger any more. And, my hubby said the his boss and some friends went to a restaurant and when they got their meals there was some little roaches in them. They left without paying! So, next time you go out to eat just take a closer look at who is making the food in the back not, at the nice looking one's in the front taking the orders...

Hi lilybug and thank you for your discussion
I'm glad no one got hurt. It could have been a lot worse. You never know who to trust, or what's going to happen next.
Hopefully, this was an accident and not caused by someone intentionally trying to hurt anyone. I'm curious to hear what Wal-mart's investigation revealed.
Good luck.

Did you take the napkin to them with the meat and glass in it? I sure hope so! If you did what did they say? I'm curios to know. I haven't had glass in mine but other things, a hair that was very obviously not mine. It was about 3 or 4 inches long and black. My hair is much longer although I may have some shoter than my bang which are about 12-14 inches long. But my hair is light brown and some are silver. I don't have a black hair in my head.
I've had this problem several times with various hairs in my food. I found somehig else one time ut I don't remember what it was.
I know at McDonalds my food tasted like vomit and I threw it out. ONly to find out from someone that I know that her husband had thrown up into the fried potato vat. I was feeling awful when I was told that. I ATE SOME OF THAT FOOD, eeeewwwwww.

It really makes you leery of eating anything. The way things are going you can't trust anyone when it comes to preparing food to go out to the public. Hopefully you'll get things straightened out but chances are Walmarts is going to try to quiet the whole thing up.

My husband and I have both gotten bones in our chicken mcnuggets from McDonald's. That's the worst it's gotten for us.

No nothing like has happened to me. But one time in a resteraunt I ordered a hamburger (well done) and when I bit into it blood squirted in my mouth. I couldn't believe it. They gave me a raw hamburger. I was furios. I told the manager and got my money back. And later in my life I learned that my mother, at the same resteraunt had oredered something and I came back with a bunch of hair on it. And I don't mean a few hairs on top. But a bunch of hair all over the place. I can't believe that resteraunt is still open. Anyway I think you are very lucky that none of your kids didn't eat that piece. And I am also glad that your okay too.:)
