Sometimes my cousin often comes to my home to watch movies but he is what you call a talker.Sometimes I am on my laptop while he is watching the movie and yet he turns to me and ask what just happened in the movie and I have to painstakingly remind him that he is the one watching the movie .Then give him a few more minutes and he is at it again "did you see that what just happened".Sometimes I am tempted to tell him that if he cant understand the movie, then why not quit watching the telivision. The other thing I hate is persons who have watched a movie that you are interested in seeing and there are giving away everything by chatting about it .Sometime I feel like just turning off the telivison and ask them to act out the scenes. Are you a talker or are you annoyed by them ? Also have you ever had a talker and how did you deal with such a situation ?

Hi ronnyb! haha..My 10 year old niece is very much like that. She will sit beside me when she sees me watching a movie and will be quiet for at least 5 minutes and will start asking questions endlessly. I will tell her to be quiet so we can both understand what we are watching and she will sit still and be quiet for a minute or two, and will start talking again. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

Your niece is young,so she is allowed to ask questions but my cousin is much older and should know better .It is probably a little cute when your neice does it but not my cousin

I know friends who are like this that’s why I’m used to going to movies alone most of the time. When watching television at home as well, I watch it alone in my room not in the living room. But none in our family is a talker anyway when it comes to watching something on tv.

Hi ronnyb, I like to watch a movie without any disturbance. Then only I enjoy the movie. For the same reason I don't go to a theater to see a movie. In theater the disturbances are many. Some people reveal the movie story in advance. Some people talk their own story in theater. I only watch online with my TV connected to my laptop. At home myself and my wife only to watch the movie. So no disturbances. Happy mylotting

I would have stopopped the film and asked, do you want me just to tell you the ending so I can get my work done? and after that, whatever film he wanted to see, I wouldn't have. He wouldn't be welcome back. If a person started to tell me plot of a film I haven't seen, I would stop the film and say, since you ruined this film, what film do you want to ruin next? Then I wold kick them out of my house.A good film has an element surprise to it and to ruin it is a form of robbery and I will not tolerate it.

I too get irritated when someone is talking while a movie going on. Especially in a theatre there are some people who may watched the movie several times and know every dialaogues by heart and repeat the same to impress somebody. Talking when the movie is going on is something I really don't like. When you are watching your favourite t.v. program and somebody talks right when the plot is getting interesting is very irritating.

People who spoil movies like that are extremely annoying. As far as talkers go, I was on a date with my boyfriend and we were in a theater and his phone rang. So what does he do? He answers it and talks on it, in the middle of the movie. Oh, I could have smacked him. I was so mad. I gave him a dirty look and told him to turn his phone off. Funnily enough, he and I stopped dating not too soon after that.

If I am watching a movie with someone unless I have seen the movie, I prefer everyone around me be quiet. You are there watching a movie, and unless it is something simple like "Is there any Popcorn, or something to Drink", I hate to be disturbed. And when I am sitting here on my Computer especially here in myLot my husband knows if he is watching TV or a movie not to bother me unless I turn around and start paying attention to him or the movie or show, so it would be annoying to me as well. Maybe you need to find a way to politely tell him your feelings for sure?

Yes, it is quite annoying. I would definitely tell anyone to just shut up or get out of the place. No tolerance.

Sometimes its annoying especially when my mom and dad talk through the movie which is one reason I dont like watching movies with them anymore. But I guess I do the same thing with my friend especially when I get lost I usally ask him and sometimes he gets annoyed if hes really into the movie but most of the time he dosnt mind it. And its worse in a theator having people talk around you.

Right, I'm with you - I hate talkers, especially when they are watching the same movie or show with me. They will be asking questions about who, what, why... when we are both seeing the same things! I don't know if the message from the tv takes a longer time to travel to their brains or what! It's very irritating, that's why I often prefer to watch TV or the movies alone!

It drives me nuts if people talk too much during a movie, but Ill ask a question if I dont understand something or make a short comment but thats about it. The ones who never shut up during a movie drive me nuts. Im like, either watch the movie or turn it off lol. Ive never really had a talker I dont think.

My son does that but he is on his laptop and I say watch the film yourself,or he misses a programme comes down while I am watching something else that I like and demands to know what happened in his programme but by the time I have tried to explain mine is finished ,so annoying he goes back up stair and leaves me to it.We have stopped him telling us what he thinks will happen in a film or programme,by the time he has given his opinion the film or programme has finished and we are so wound up sometimes he does it on purpose little devil.

Try watching a movie with my kids, ones asking me why the person is doing this or doing that, "Why did they go it there? They're dumb!" And then I got my other kid explaining the whole movie to me as it happens, like I don't know what's going on or something. Yeah, I will talk during a movie with my friends and make snob remarks about the movie. But when it comes to going to the movies I do get annouyed when people are talking to the screen. I didn't come to hear all that!

i cant STAND when people do that like at a cinema, im in the middle watching a movie, and behind me the people are chatting, and texting on their cellphone. so i hear a beep, then i hear them chatting. it just grinds my gears. then once i was watching the strangers i think. and my friend starts chatting with me. im not paying attention and shove him a bit. he starts doing it again and i tell him to shutup. then 4 or 5 people say hey guys, can you be quiet? i try and try but he keeps being annoying so i just leave the theatre... i ended up going with my gf a bit later.

When I'm watching a move I don't like to talk nor do I want any one else to talk. It's so annoying to have interruptions because right at that time something happens and if you miss it you might miss part of the plot. I live with my grandkids and sometimes they want to talk when watching a movie. When my Granddaughter comes home and I happen to be myLotting I just stop because she will want to talk and I can't do two things at once like answering a discussion and listening and answering her.

if i am watching something i don't like talking even on the phone. another thing that aggravates me is for someone to call while i'm eating. they ask what you are doing , u tell them eating & they just keep on talking. if i catch somone eating i always tell them to call me back when they get through. i hate it when somone tells u waht is going to happen in a movie. makes me want to wring their neck. they just spoil it for u when they do that. people!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate it when that happens. I even hate it more when I have to take my little cousin and he likes to chatter gibberish and get surprised alot. Im silent when I watch a movie. I only talk at the end of the movie. I see people talking but Im not the type of persoon that says anything about it. Now a days I dont even go to the theater much because almost every movie I can get online. Going to the theater is just for dealing with other people annoying talking.

Well, it depends. If it is a really great classic, the I am a talker.."OH watch this" or I will give an up coming line that I like...BUT if i know that someone has not seen the movie, then I will be quite. But it does me drive me crazy when someone keeps asking what is going on or what happened. As far as handling them, I just say "hey, I just want to figure this out by my self" or "not sure, just keep watching"

It really depends on if I start out interested in the movie or not. If it seems rather boring, I'll end up talking through most of it. Or, I won't pay attention and will ask what just happened. However, if I'm interested in the movie I get very annoyed when someone else talks to me. So I understand both sides. If it's in the movie theater though, I won't talk and it ALWAYS annoys me. How rude.
