Will you do any gambling on Friday the 13th?

February 13, 2009 is on a Friday, which gives us a Friday the 13th this month. Are you superstitious? Will you place any wagers on/for Friday the 13th. I'm going to buy lottery tickets for that day and also buy some ON that day. I'm actually planning a trip to Atlantic City so that we arrive on Friday the 13th and come home on Valentines Day. I am very excited about playing on Friday the 13th because I think it'll be really neat.
Are you superstitioius about this day or do you think it's just another day and will place the same wagers you normally would?

Yes the biggest gamble I will be doing on that day is getting out of bed.

I hope you where able to have a good laugh. I did get out of bed as you can tell because I do not use my lap top in bed. That would be the life to have the fridge, microwave and door to let the dogs out all from my bed. Then I can play it safe and stay in bed.
Wait no I cannot do that I would be just like my mom!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mom moved in my house at the age of 59 and went to bed and only got up to get food and take it back to bed to eat. She never at with the family unless we forced her to get up with company. She did not take Petie out she taught him to go to the bathroom on the bathroom run so yes he still does that. She talked about getting a little fridge in her room so she would not have to get out of bed to get cold food.
I do not want to be like that. I am 50 now so I have 9 years to get like her.

reiny, I'm not close to any places to go gambling. But if I was in Mississippi and close to the casinos...yes I would go. I don't care what day it is. I always consider Friday the 13th to be a lucky or good day. lo

What about lottery? Can you play Lottery or the Big Game/Mega Millions where you are? I'll make sure I have tickets for all those too next week.

I'm going to the casino on the 15th but that's just because I'm going for my anniversary. But I always buy lottery tickets on Friday the 13th. The Indiana lottery began on Friday the 13th of October, 1989. The sixth ticket I ever bought in a lottery was worth $500. Of course I've been hooked ever since even though that was the biggest win I've had.

I was married on Friday The 13th. This Friday The 13th will be 11 year anniversary so no I am not superstitouos about Friday The 13th. I don't know if I iwll buy any lottery tickets taht day or not just depends on my mood that day I guess.

Hi.
No, I am not superstitious over friday the 13th or anything else for that matter.
Yes, it is just another day for me. A Friday the 13th movie came out on that day. I didn't go to see the movie either...I don't watch horror movies.

I haven't seen the movie either, and don't plan to. But I wonder if they'll have a second one come out in March because there's another Friday the 13th!

Hey reiny! I always hope that Friday the 13th will be a lucky
day for me! Since most all other days seem to not be lucky
I tend to think that just maybe a Friday the 13th might be!
I don't buy lottery tickets so nothing will change! But, I
don't feel that it is an unlucky day, I feel just the opposite
and hope that something lucky might happen!

i do not know when that i will be able to go to the casino. it will not be anytime soon. lol but the way that i look at it, Friday the 13th is just another day for me. i might buy me a powerball lottery ticket on that day or something like that. and good luck to you when you go to Atlantic City to go gambling. i love going to play the slots. i have never been to Atlantic City before to gamble. i have been to Reno, Las Vegas, Tunica, and to several different casinos that are boats. i hope that you hit it big when you go gambling. let us all know around here at Mylot if you had any luck.

I've never been on a gambling boat, but I have gambled on a cruise, does that count?
My game lately is craps, I just love it! I have been reading some books on it to get the learn the odds and all that. I'm very anxious to try out some of my "new" strategies. I will definitely let everyone know how I do :)

I've never held much stock in Friday the 13th being a bad luck or good luck day. But now that you got me thinking about it, maybe I will go and buy a couple lottery tickets.
What I do pay attention to more is the moon and generally speaking I think my luck is worse on a night where the moon is full. Well, we all know that people act a bit differently when the moon if full, why shouldn't it affect how things roll in a casino.

I am so with you on the full moon thing... I remember when I worked in the mall and all the weird people came out on full moons. I hated working on that night!!! But for Friday the 13th... I've never had a problem with it - although my sister had a problem with Thursday the 12th for a few years....
