Have you ever told a story or described a situation on mylot only to have the person you were talking about see the post? I'm new to mylot and it hasn't happened to me, but whenever I mention someone I know (not by name) and describe something that has happened to me, I wonder if maybe they're mylot members and I don't know it. I would think that sometimes based on the mylot username and the situation described, someone might figure out who you are and who you're talking about. Just curious if anyone has had that experience...

Yanno, it's kind of funny. I am relatively certain that none of my real life friends are on here but I still use fake names if I tell unflattering stories on them, just in case.... since I use the same username for everything it would be pretty obvious that it's me.

Good idea using fake names. I'm the same way with my username, which is why I was thinking that depending on how descriptive I got with my story/situation I'm describing, they may be able to guess what I was talking about even without names. I've sometimes wondered that when people ask for advice about a friend, etc.

You know, I know that I have a few friends on mylot that I know in real life. But to avoid any problems I just try to only say things that are not too bad about them. But sometimes I just like to say the bad things anyways and they normally just retaliate by commenting on my post lol.

That's funny! I guess as long as you all are aware of the others' postings, it could be more of a funny situation than something someone would get upset about.
