the nachos are soggy, the bean dip has an inedible crust on top, and the beer kegs are spitting foam. it's the day after The Superbowl......the party is over......another Monday. according to the news, 1.5 million Americans call in sick the day after The Superbowl with another 4.4 million coming in late. the Monday after The Superbowl is the day employees call in sick more than any day throughout the year. did you call in sick today??? if you're at work, WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON MYLOT?!?!? get back to work!!! what's the most creative excuse you've heard.......or used to call in sick???

Lets see..... I don't normally watch football lol (I like the packers tho) I am an at home mom so, I can't call in. (wish I could on some days :)) There was a person where I use to work who called in on a regular basis, the weirdest excuse I heard was when they said that they had work to do at home and couldn't afford to come in.

CHEEEEEEEESE HEAD!!! when i lived in Anoka i worked with a guy who missed Monday and Tuesday at work. when he finally showed up on Wednesday, he told a tale of going to a cabin with his friend, and his friend killed himself and so he was falsely charged with murder and was locked up for 4 days.......of course there was no mention of this on the news and he could never produce a police report. i think stomach flu would have been so much easier. Go Vikings!!!

LOL The only reason I like the packers is cuz I had a bet with a friend a few years back between them and the Vikes and I won $100 on 2 games cuz he wanted a double or nothin bet the second time. :D I'd like to know where this cabin is lol I may know of it. :)

it was up by Grand Rapids, this supposedly happened like 20 years ago......we checked and there was no mention of any of his story anywhere. later on, the same guy claimed to have gotten cancer, and he had to miss every Tuesday for chemotherapy.....they found out he didn't have cancer and he just wanted Tuesdays off.......they finally fired him. i think the guy should have been a writer.

I don't watch sports.. if the COWBOYS aren't playing.. I'm a Indian.. we like cowboys! actually, Jason Witten was my neighbor... his Brother, Sean, is my kid's high school coach... so it would be wrong to not watch him play ball, ya know? my excuse would be (if I had a job that PAID) would be that I got drunk and I feel too bad to come in and puke.. so I would rather stay home and do it! I can't lie.. I'd have to tell the truth!

I'm here hard at work. Or was that hardly working? One guy who used to work for my husband had his wife call in sick for him because his voice was affected and he supposedly sounded like Donald Duck.

I watched the end of the game yesterday and did some mylotting and checked out some rocknroller doin' some singin'... Then I had to work today, it is a work slow down and it looks like I'll be doin' some one day a week most likely... So I put in my 8 hours plus 2 of overtime... Maybe I will get by, I'm not real sure... I just have a lot of hope... I can't wait to get rid of some of the monkeys that are on my back... Health Insurance is the big one, paying for a spouse that is not a nice person, and our children I have no problem paying for the children and their health insurance and other services that I am happy to provide even though those things are not getting used. The ex- has gagged herself and refuses to communicate with me, I have to use my best guesses or intuition to figure out what is going on... I have a couple of loans as a result of the lying detective and trying to survive... So if I could clean up my finances it would be real great... In the mean time, I'm exhausted and ready for a break but not just yet, I'm here and there and checking things out... Peace, Big Bear... Sincerely, Gary

hang in there Gary....hopefully with time things will look up for you. a "gagged" ex-wife might not be such a bad thing. i'm glad i pretty much remained on friendly terms with my ex. hope you get that break soon.

hello sconibear what was my excuse today? lol i did watch all of the superbowl last night on television but i didn't party at all or did i have anything to drink either. my eight year old son woke up yesterday morning throwing up and couldn't stay off of the toilet, so that was my excuse today for not working. i am back at work tomorrow and he is back to school. let's hope. lol i haven't been at work for almost two weeks now myself due to being at the hospital sitting with my Dad. he got to come home today thou. thank god. take care and have a beautiful evening.

Wha???? We were supposed to call in sick? Why didn't anyone tell me at about 6 am this morning??? I was supposed to be on myLot all day if I went to work? Why am I the last one to know???? (OK, I got on myLot for about 5 minutes.... and I thought I was being bad.) We actually had someone in new hire training (when you are supposed to miss NO TIME) miss a Monday. She came in Tuesday with a story about getting into an altercation in a parking lot after going to a club on Saturday, so she didn't get out of jail in time to come to work Monday. OK, not creative. And not too smart, because she lost her job anyway.

Stormy, my time card is electronic.... how hard will it be to tear up the monitor? Sconi, the way you're dressed right now, I'm worried you will set it to take me back to 1885... and when I break the fuel line, what if I can't find Doc Brown to help me hook up to the front of a locomotive to get back to yesterday???
