What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear "Iceland"

If I had asked this question a couple of years ago, I bet the answer would have been either Bjork or the Sugarcubes. A few years before that, maybe someone might have mentioned the Reagan/Gorbachof Summit but things have changed drastically in the world lately and news travels fast. What do you know about Iceland (without assistance from Google or other search engines)

I have to say Gudjonson. He is a soccer player, playing for Barcelona. He used to play for Chelsea and scored a great many of goals. However, he grows pretty old and is not able to keep the good form.

It's funny that he is getting too old for the game because I remember him as a little child, when his father was a great soccer hero

In 1996, actually Gudjohnsen and his father played in the same international game for Iceland. Gudjohnsen subsituted for his father. That must be a funny scene to see.

It has never been less expensive for foreigners to travel to Iceland since our currency is almost worthless these days. If you want to visit, now is the time!

LOL the only thing I think of honestly is Bjork....I suppose its because Iceland isnt somewhere I'd want to visit so I don't know much about it

I recently saw the remake of Journey to the Center of the Earth. Not a bad movie. For a remake that is. Anita Briem starred in that. I believe she is from Iceland.

when i first hear Iceland,I thought it's a country which is made of ice,that is everything is made of ice .How cold it is.It has a kind of feeling of cold.
