I really don't know what I shall be doing for Valentine's Day. A cosy dinner at home with a few good movies sounds ideal. That is, providing the dinner is a takeaway. It wouldn't be much fun if I had to slog over a hot oven to cook the dinner. Yes, maybe we will order a chinese and I will make the dessert to follow. No trouble to open a can of fruit and a packet of custard. Hope you have a great day.

I do not want to celebrate Valentines day. I do not think we need to since we have been married for 31 years. I may get a card for my son and daughter. Next year will be fun since our grandson will almost be a year.
My son's girlfriend will be induced on February 16 and our first grand baby will be born sometime on the 16th or 17.

Awesome and congratulations on the upcoming birth of a new grandson. My first and only (so far) grandson will be two years old later this month. I am very much looking forward to Valentine's Day and his Birthday celebration! He's a little cutie!

Oh he is a doll! I got him a gorilla Valentine's Day balloon because he loves monkeys, some sweetheart candy and a little zip up hooded jacket with a big truck on it that lights up. He loves his Papa's big truck so he should be thrilled with this. He is allergic to chocolate so can't have any of the good stuff! I bet you can't wait! They are so much fun!

kareng he is such a cutie I love his blue eyes. did you get him something for Valentiens day. I cannot want to send the baby a Valentines day card, and then a birthday card. I cannot wait for Christmas also. Our daughter his Auntie is also looking forward to having a nephew, her hubby is already planning family vacations and he has already asked when they can take the baby for a weekend. What a great thing this baby is for our family it has brought us all closer.

I'm not dropping any hints, and I'm not expecting anything this Valentine's Day. You see a few weeks back, he decided he was ready to move on, alone. So I've been dealing with sorting and packing and planning for my move. So, for this year, it's just another day for me.

I'm sure I'll receive valentine cards from my sister, and parents in Texas. And I might just take myself out to dinner or to the casino for a little fun. Or get some take-out and do my favorite thing........scrapbooking.

hi kareng!
not really, i don't have anything in mind to receive on valentine's day. i am more focused on just having a safe delivery soon. yup, i am pregnant. but my husband and i are preparing or planning to have a special expensive dinner in a japanese restaurant.
that is about it. i am not expecting to receive any gift from him, after all, we are saving up for the coming of the baby.
i still love my very precious husband just the same,
take care and God bless you!
happy mylotting! :d

We don't exchange gifts for Valentine's Day, although we do do romantic things at other times. When we were dating, he used to buy me presents, but now we are saving up for a house, so we aren't buying any presents or anything like that.
He will probably cook me a nice dinner, though.

We don't usually exchange V-day gifts, just cards and sometimes he gives me flowers. I may buy him some chocolates. I alway make a really nice diner- we never go out on Valentine's day- that's amateur night! lol

My fiance needs a lot of help in this area, so I've been dropping as many hints as I can to give him a clue. :-) He tries, but I've learned to accept that he's just not good at surprises. LOL

I am not dropping hints for gifts that I want to receive. I don't really care if I get presents or not. My parents usually buy me some stuff but my husband and I don't exchange gifts with each other anymore. We don't have enough money to buy presents for each other for all the holidays. He never appreciated anything that I bought for him yet thought everything he bought for me was the most wonderful present in the world and would get mad if I didn't use the stuff he bought for me. So we just agreed to stop buying each other presents. For Christmas and birthdays we each just get a certain amount of money that we can spend on whatever we want. I usually just save the money for when I really need something but he goes and buys a new video game or whatever he wants.

In past years I have, but with this economy I am not pushing. My husband work might be laying people off this month, so I would rather he not spend any money to buy me anything this year. I would rather he get creative and do something for me rather than buy me something. I am going to make him something.

My husband and I don't celebrate Valentine's day and we never will. But his birthday is just 2 days before Valentine's day so we will be celebrating his birthday. For this year it will be a cozy dinner of spaghetti for two (this is his favorite dish and I will be cooking it) and I might get him a piece of cake either chocolate cake or cheese cake also his favorite. I think celebrating it at home is much more economical and cozy - away from the traffic and noise.

I agree with you. You can also carry on a conversation at home and hear each other! Some restaurants are getting very bad, with tables pushed too close where you can't talk without everyone around you knowing all your business. Ugg! Your dinner at home sounds much nicer. Pull out the candles and have a romantic dinner!

My wife is not into the whole Heartsy fartsy day actually.
But I always buy myself some candy as she doesn't like it.
She doesn't buy me it so I get it myself. Hahahaha!

Hints? What are those :-D My "hint" was to tell my husband to make reservations at this restaurant I want to try :-D Haha, I gave up on hints a long time ago when I realized how many of them go WHOOSH right over his head. We are going to try this new italian place, and then get Cold Stone for dessert :)
Only thing I ever want or expect is candy and/or flowers. My mom gave me flowers and a new vase for my bday, so I already "hinted" that he can now buy me flowers for vday b/c I have a vase :-D I'll probably hint that again in a week ;)

I'm not really dropping any hints for anything. I'm not sure what I want. It's just a nice day to celebrate with each other. I can't think of anything that I'd want at this point that would be practical anyway but I have thought of practical gifts for my partner.

I don't know if you have already been asked this because I'm answering from my e-mail. But what do you want for Valentine's Day? Are you getting anything for your guy? I'm not in a relationship right now, but I always get something small for my parents, sister, and a couple of friends. Just so they know I care.

No, i haven't dropped any hints. I have not been able to celebrate a Valentine's Day in 22 years, so i figure if he wants me to have anything for Valentine's Day he will get it. It is not really a big deal for me, it just seems like any other day of the year, and that is the way i treat it. I hope everyone gets what they have asked for on Valentine's Day.
