har har har the way i read your esponse i can feel how you love the food you mentioned in your post. yes i am a big fan of hainanese chicken rice and i can say that it is better than the finger licking good chicken. what is chicken gravy? is that the same as of the chicken curry? but it does sounds good as well. thanks a lot for the response

I think a lot of things are great with rice, I like roast beef with gravy over rice. I also like pretty much and kind of chinese food with rice. Chicken curry would be really good with rice, but we usually eat it with Paratha bread. Chicken and rice always sounds good to me. I also really like chili and rice together. For reason I just really love those two together. But I would eat rice with just about anything.

I enjoy rice in soup. It makes it thick and a real meal. I also enjoy rice with with stir fries that have chicken, lean meat and lots of vegetables. I also like rice pudding made with raisins and cinnamon. Yes, rice with fish is another favorite of mine too.
Fun sharing ideas with you. Sorry I was so long in commenting to your response on my site a month ago. I posted one this evening.

You are welcome. Whenever possible I like to drop by friends who support my topics. However, often there are so many to respond to every response there I do not have any time left.
I appreciate your interest in what we do and liked this topic about rice.
Whatever you and your wife decide to do on Valentine's Day the most important thing is that you are enjoying together! At least that is the view David and I have. Ah yes, connected togetherness for those of who have it we are very blessed indeed!

it turned out to be a worried and funny one. we went out for the first time not bringing him along with us. and we both ended up missing him. we are like a mcdonald meal with out the toy. har har har. we rushed our food and wife even was teary eyed. and we bought something for him and went home. finding him watching hi-5 jumping all around and eating oreos. i dont think he missed us. me and wife was happy that he did not cry but we are so worried. wel there is always a first time.

My favorite food to pair with rice is Chicken Tikka Masala....it's an Indian dish. The first time I had it was on a cruise ship and I had to seek out an Indian resturant that served it when we got home. I have sense tested out five different recipies before I found one close to what I had on the cruise that I became addicted to.

gravy top on the rice with bisquits? interesting. what kind of bisquits? please orient me for i am willing to let my wife try it. har har har i am not that adventurous when it comes to food so i let my wife taste it first. the second one is kind of wierd but it is okay as long as you can eat it and it does not go to waste. when i was younger i like to put condensed milk on top of my rice. thanks a lot for the response

Hello.....tofu dishes are my favourite, next comes curry chicken. Actually I also like hainanese chicken rice but sadly the ones from outside has too much msg (monosodium glutamate) so I have stopped eating chicken rice outside. Until I can cook my own hainanese chicken rice at home I will eat it .

Hi dear. You really got me there. I am used to eating rice and I can't make the day through without eating rice at least once. I remember back when I was a kid I can eat rice for my three meals everyday, lol. My mom would make me fried rice if the rest of the family were having noodles for a change. And now my bf have to adjust himself to my habit, shift himself from noodles to rice, heehee. Ok, to yr question, my answer would be the almost the same as you. Chicken is great, with some vegetables but I don't love curry that much. Fish is very healthy and can help keep fit, perfect match with rice. Hoho~yummy and stop!! I am hungry.

I love chicken with rice, I think the two textures compliment eachother beautifully. I love it when my husband makes a chicken stir fry and pours it over rice for us. I have tried to make the dish myself but sadly, I have not perfected it. I also love eating meatballs and sauce over rice, I think it was just something my husband and I threw together with some left over and I don't know if you have tried it, but you should. I also love chicken curry although I have yet to find someone capable of teaching me how to make it, instead I just order it once in a while,LOL.

very true. mexican food is really good with rice. the right taste of spice and tomato sauce or any sause is perfect to go with rice. i like shrimp with rice too. my wife cook it with oil, ginger, garlic, onions. she puts catsup and hot sauce. the catsup serves as the sauce and the hot sauce is for the kick. thats my favorite shrimp recipe. thanks a lot for the response
