How many emails?

How many emails do you have in your inbox if you don't check your email every day?
I usually have right around 180 or 200. I was just wondering if this is the norm. Or if this is just me.
Of course, I do a lot of paid per and paid to type programs, so maybe I get more than the average Joe. But I also figured that a lot of people on myLot are doing stuff like this also.
So tell me, how many emails do you get if you don't check it every day? And how often do you check your email? Is it frustrating if you are out of town, or if your computer goes down and you can't go online?

Though Opera and Firefox both are free it's difficult to select any one of them as the best browser. I rerly use IE
Opera... I love it... It's the fastest browser, I am browsing myLot always from Opera, and have you ever used the Mouse Gesture functionality... Use it once and I am sure you gonna love it.
Firefox... I like it too... I use it as much as I use Opera, but for my professional work only.
When you say safety and security, I will rate both browsers same as both are equally secure.
But, when it come to Memory Consumption "Firefox" Looses and "Opera" Wins.

That's ok Chweetygirl, we can use the information that you have placed here. I have never used the Mouse Gesture function in Opera. I usually use the Firefox and AOL browsers, but I do use Opera from time to time. I may check it out if I get the chance.
Let me take this opportunity to send you a big WELCOME to myLot. We are unable to delete a response in a discussion, but this is fine. Thanks for the info and have a good day!

In my case, since a have e-group memberships, I have 50 to 100 emails per day, which leaves me more than 3,000 unread emails. Sometimes, it is frustrating to read so many emails, but I have managed to segregate it, by using filters so it would go to their separate folders. That way, I can prioritize what emails needs to be answered immediately.

Hi again im_anna, and thanks for joining in on some of my discussions. I apologize for taking so long to respond back. I haven't been on for a while....working on some other projects.
It sounds like you must use a pretty good email program. I am not sure, but I don't think the service that I go through will allow me to separate the emails as they come in into different folders. I can see where that would come in handy.
Thanks again for your response, and have a great day myLotting!

Thanks for your response in this discussion Gracie04. I really appreciate your joining in and letting us know what your email account is like.
I guess it's kind of like that meat SPAM...some people love the little penny programs and some people hate them. That's the way I look at it I guess. Although, I myself hate that meat. LOL
Thanks again, and have a good evening!

Clearing out that many emails can be a difficult task. I hope that you haven't lost any important information or missed out on any good opportunities by being without an internet connection.
Trying to stay connected can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. That is especially so if you have moved, travel a lot or are going through some tough times. I hope all is well with you, and you will be able to remain connected or at least have internet access.
Thanks for your response in this discussion, and have a great day!

I have 911 emails in my inbox. This is my main email and not the one I use for surveys and stuff. Those emails can hit 3,000 emails in the inbox. That's why I just create new ones. :)

WOW, I'll say that again WOW. My email box only goes up to 1000, or I guess I should say 999. After that it sends a response back to the sender that states this email box is full.
I've had the same email address since 1998, and I think I have only had this happen two or three times. I guess I'm doing pretty good at keeping up with things through all of these years.
Thanks for your response in this discussion, and have a great day!

Sounds like you stay pretty busy with the emails there Jessi0887. Sometimes it can get pretty time consuming. Especially if you don't check your email every day. And if you are looking for something in particular.
Well, I was glad when AOL came out with the find or search box. Now I can find something I am looking for with ease. Or if I want to delete all of the email from one sender, I can do that too.
Thanks for your response and have a good evening!

It seems every one is very much frustrated by the large amount of mails in their account. It is obvious that you receive that large amount of mails then it would be very tough to maintain them.
For me I received around 10 mails per day. I check some. Some of them I just delete without checking.

Sounds like your dad's email account sounds like mine. I bet he stays busy trying to keep up with that. I hope he is making money on all of those emails.
You don't get many at all. I remember those days. I now have 6 email accounts, and only one of them gets less than yours. And that is the one I would like to be receiving more. LOL
Thanks for your response and have a great day!

I usually check my email everyday. However, if I don't check my email I have about 40-50 new emails a day. I would have a lot more but I have different email accounts for different purposes. This greatly reduces the number of emails I would otherwise receive in my main inbox.

It sounds like you are pretty organized Mayhem23. I wonder, does that Mayhem, stand for March Mayhem, as in March Madness and NCAA College Basketball?
I am a basketball nut. I could sit and watch any team play any time of day if I didn't have so much email to check. LOL
Thanks for your response in this discussion, and have a good eve!

Sounds pretty normal to me. If I do not check my email for 24 hours, I usually have around 100 new emails in my inbox. Most of it is junkmail though which I can delete without even opening. I am now trying to unsubscribe myself from a lot of the sites as it does take up unnecessary time having to tidy up my inbox

Yes, I try to unsubscribe to things at least once every week. If I don't, then I would really end up with a major bulk email account. It makes me wonder what the servers like yahoo and aol think about people who get so many emails.
Thanks for responding to this discussion. I am glad that I am normal...at least in someone's eyes. Have a great day my friend.

That's not too bad, considering that's a couple of different email addresses. I wasn't even including other ones when I specified the number. I guess I just think about the main one most of the time and the others are just fluff. LOL
Thank you for your response in this discussion, and have a good evening!

Well, I am really picking about giving my e-mail address out because once it hits a 3rd party, then I get way too much. Now, I got it all under control and recieve 10-30 emails a day across all my e-mail addresses. I also check it a couple of times a day since I am trying to maximize my money online. 180 to 200? That is crazy!!! I hated it when my inbox looked like that.

It can be overwhelming at times, but I think I enjoy it. I guess I think of it like picking up pennies. Some people will walk by a penny laying on the ground, and others are the ones who stop and pick it up every time.
By the way, I see you are pretty new here at myLot. Let me take a moment to send out a great big WELCOME to you! Thanks and have a good day!

WOW, Holy Cow, Gesusdid...that's a ton of Spam. I guess sometimes we don't realize how fortunate we are. I don't have any clue what I'd do if I received that many. But I guess as long as it goes to a different folder, then that's not too bad.
It sounds like you have a handle on your email account. Good for you. Thanks for your response, and have a great day!

Oh, I just seen the thing on the side that says myLot code.

Hi there Zandy, and thanks for your response. I was just checking out your avatar. That's pretty neat. It looks like actual star shaped fireworks. Did you make that yourself?
I love the talent that some of the people here on myLot have and the different computer skills. Combined we would be able to do anything as far as business and the computer goes. LOL Thanks again and a good day to ya!

I try to stay on top of my email account while I am online also. But even if I clear it out at the end of the night before I go to bed, I will generally have 45 or 50 new ones in the morning. Of course, they are not necessarily all junk mail or spam. But some of them are.
Thanks for your response in this discussion and have a good day!

I receive around 20 emails per day. Wow, that's definitely a very low number. I guess that's because I regularly unsubscribe from websites that I do not use anymore. I also make sure that I only give my email to a trusted website or somebody that I know in order to prevent tons of messages going into my inbox. We'll never know, there might be hackers out there who want to access our confidential information.

Wow, I receive 30 from just one company. I couldn't make much money if that were all I received. LOL Just a little humor there.
Thanks for your response in this discussion. I am glad that you have an email company that keeps the spam down for you. That is the main thing when it comes to email.
