Hello checapricorn, I am quite a particular person. I like to arrange my stuff accordingly. Like this morning, I need to go to the immigration department to get a renewal work permit for my husband. I prepared all the documents completely a night before and reminded my husband many times of his part. He always take things for granted as he knows I will do everything for him. When we reached his office to collect some documents , his clerk made a small mistake on his contract agreement. We couldn't forward the document and I wasted my day leave just for nothing. I was damned mad but it is such a waste of time for me to be angry at my husband - he knows how to counter attack me! By the way, it was not his mistake though... it was the girl's.

Sometimes I do forgot some important things or documents needed to finish some transaction but I don't consider it as carelessness. And you should think it the same way. Perhaps we are just being pre-occupied with some other things thats why we forgot to bring some important documents when we are suppose to use or present it to others.

Just lately I have been forgetful with some things. I think it must because of age. Hahahaha! Well, to avoid this problem I always right down important thing that I need to do and bring the following day. With respect to small items or usual carry on items like cell ohone, keys, I have some few incidents of leaving them at home but it did not create much problem though.

Hey checapricorn! I try to be more organized, but I do have a habit or forgetting things too! I don't know why I can't keep things organized! I used to lose my receipts from things that I bought and then for some reason I wanted to return an item and I could never find the receipt! My boyfriend would get angry at me and tell me to put it somewhere that I could find them. So I finally bought a little plastic box to keep them all in! Now I can find them all! When I have to go to an appointment I get all my papers ready in advance and make sure I have everything long before I have to go! That way I won't forget things at the last minute!

My hubby and I are equally careless, but maybe I am a little more. Especially with car keys. I'm ALWAYS losing my primary set and having to use the spare key. As a matter of fact, I can't tell you where my keys are right now. It's also a miracle if I have my drivers license on me. I know I'll get a ticket if I get caught driving without it, but I don't drive far, so I don't think about grabbing it. I finally went and got an extra ID and I keep one in my car and one in my wallet so I always have one handy. You know it's getting bad when you carry an extra photo ID to make up for your carelessness!

Hi Amie, hehehe...We are the same! That is why when I travel, I am very paranoid on checking my things many many times because I don't trust me even if I have all my list already what's in my purse! LOL!

what I am going to do next? What have i done just now? These questions are often asked by myself. Sometimes I think maybe my bad memory is due to sitting in front of the computer for nearly a whole work time! It is a long time I have not my own thoughts. How terrible! I even think I feel like an oldman!

That was funny my friend but in some sort, it should not be taken for granted, lol. I always want to be organized and that is one thing that starts misunderstanding in the house. Kids are some kinda careless sometimes, in the house and also in the school. It maybe a long story to tell everything about my wife and our kids. So I just tell one thing about me, being a driver. I know it would lead to some thing unnecessary but I put a wallet in my motorcycle compartment with my driver's license in it. That will let me go on the road anytime with my motorcycle with no worry of being caught in traffic without it...

I must say that being careless depends on several reasons. Sometimes we tend to forget because we do not plan ahead. We want last minute preparations and plans. I and my husband sometimes say we are careless but we were able to fix that problem. I always tell him to think of all the things needed for tomorrow's outing or better list all the things we need. When it comes to forgetfulness he commits more than I. Then I will tell him that I am going to remind him of what he should bring at work. Before he step out the door, I tell him his check list which I have already memorized: I-Pod, cellphone, money, ID, towel, laptop and food. That's how I was able to help him not to left any important thing in the house.

Yes, I know exactly how you felt. Usually I am very organized and my significant other at the time used to always forget her bank cards and sometimes her cell phone. I would ask her whether she had it before we left and she would say yes. When we got there, alas, she could not find the bank cards or statements anywhere. There was some anger exchanged but it was only temporary; the way it should be!
