Enjoying life now VS pursuing your dreams?

If given a choice and only a single choice, which will you choose? Will you enjoy your life now by getting and doing whatever you want without much plan for the future, or will you sacrifice the short-term fun for now and aim for the big dreams at the end of the journey?
For me, I'll pursue my dreams even if I have to sacrifice some of my short term fun now. True, we will never know what might happen tomorrow and we might not even live to see tomorrow but what if we do get to see tomorrow? Will we look at today with regret that we didn't pursue the dreams due to some short-term fun?
To me, I'm fortunate enough to live in this world and I should not waste this life of mine away. I'll make sure I pursue my dreams during this lifetime. Whether I can achieve it or not, is another story.
What about you? Do you enjoy life now, or pursue your dreams?
I know some of you will say both, but let's assume you can't have both.

congrats! It's not easy to be able to live your dreams actually. You've done things that many are not able to :)

Hi daydreamer.I will definately vote for pursuing my dreams. The moment now will fade away and will become a memory. But goals and aspirations are the real motivators.I have always regretted when i sacrificed my long term goals for short term fun.Life is unpredictable, agreed but its a journey.Long term goals are the destination. Its foolish to get diverted on the way wondering if there will be time enough to reach the destination.
Wishing you every success in your journey towards your dreams and aspirations.

I do agree with you. There will always be time when you feel you want to give up in order to enjoy the now, since you never know whether you will get to enjoy this again in the future. But the thing is, those enjoyment will not last long since deep inside you, you will still regret over your decision for not going after your dreams. One just needs to know which has the higher priority.
