Today everyone's talking about global warming and ways we could help to stop it. One good way is safe things we get from earth and water is one of the main ones. So, do you care that much about saving water that you turn off the tap while brushing teeth?

faucet - Faucet, in black and white.
I turn it off frequently when I am brushing my teeth. Usually though, my partner is in the shower in the same bathroom, so he quickly responds each time.

Ah your house is like that as well? We cannot turn on a tap when someone is in the shower as it impacts on the shower immediately. I wonder if there is any way to fix the plumbing so that does not happen. lol. Oh there is one tap we can use, the one for the rain water tank as that is just plumbed into the kitchen and does not effect any other plumbing.

Yeah, it seems like it is mainly the bathroom sinks and toilets that effect it. The washing machine or dishwasher can run, and the pressure only goes down a little, but the temp stays the same.

Yes i turn off the tap while brushing my teeth. There are people in the world struggling to get a drop of water. They have to go far places to get water and use for their expenses. We need to save water so we can use it in the future without having shortage of water.

Absolutely. I try and use as little water as possible and I have rain water tanks for cooking and drinking. We are in drought and our dams are really low so we can never take water for granted. It has become a very previous thing.

I always do now because it has become a habit and my 7 year old does the same. We have water restrictions in Australia and we have to be aware of how much water we use! It is silly to let water run for no reason. It took a while but as I said I am used to it now.

Absolutely! There is no reason to keep the water running while you are brushing your teeth. Besides I usually brush my teeth and do other things like watch tv in the morning. Then when I need to rinse I turn on the water to get a little for rinsing and I'm done with the water!

I just learned the habit of turning off the tap while brushing my teeth. Before, I don't turn it off until when I rinse. I realized that it is very consuming and I have thought of people having a hard time fetching water for everyday use.

For me, it mostly depends. I need the water to be warm, not cold, so if it's cold, I'll run it until it gets warm, then I'll turn it off until I need it.

I turn it off but mainly because of bad plumming. The drain always gets so slow. If i leave it running it would only fill the sink with water and slowly drain out.

Yes I do care so much about saving water not only when I brush my teeth.I use glass of water so the faucet will not be left open.I can say we save only little water in brushing our teeth. My concern is when we wash our laundry we can save much water and use it for other purposes.

Hello Lindery, Crocket here. I never turn the water off when I brush my teeth. I hate that! Besides we have plenty of water around or the city officials would be blabbing it all around on the media. The thought of the water being off makes my mouth feel dry and then I don't seem to have a very comfortable brush. Crocket.

Dear friend, I usually turn off water when I am brushing. More it not only saves many things for us like water, current, energy so on. Moreover for me it is a habit I do this from my childhood days onwards. May be this good habit might have helped me a lot.

I do turn off the water while I'm brushing. I was raised that way, so now it's just one of those habits that's just a part of who I am...just like turning the lights off...I can't stand seeing lights on during the day or lights on in a room that no one is using.

I've honestly never consciously paid much attention to conserving water before. It's quite scary now though as our county's experienced drought & will be imposing water rations within the next month...if the absence of rain continues. Now, i'm doing my part to conserve water whichever way , may it be turning off water while brushing teeth or taking quickie showers instead of using bathtub. Every little bit counts,Hooray!

You are saying about turn off the tap while brushing the teeth but I say that don't use the tap becoz it even results in the wastage of water instead of that use a bottle for brushing and optimize the use of water as much as possible I am saying this becoz it is my own experience as I have a open land behind my house so I spit after brushing and wash my mouth with a bottle instead of using a tap and a sink to flow water while rinsing mouth

yes of course.. helping our mother earth should start from ourselves, and i start it already by turning off my faucet when i brush.. they say, water is abundant but sad to say in some place its not. so lets should save the water shortage while we can... we dont want that time will come we dont have any clean water to drink or even to brush our teeth.i really can imagine that time will come when no more enough water for us all, so do your part as well.
