Ideas Needed

Hi all I need your help. For part of our assessment on my performing arts course we have been asked to come up with an idea for an event. The only snag is it has to have some sort of performing arts event happening on the day or evening. I have come up with some ideas, but I want as many as possible before we narrow it down. I wouldn't ask if it was cheating because it's not. We are being assessed on the planning of the event and not the actual idea. So if you have any ideas please let me know. I am very grateful for any you come up with. I want to either invent something new or come up with a bizare and very unusual idea. Things I have considered are like fashion shows, murder mystery, Ozzfest type ideas, variety shows, red carpets, etc. Thanks in advance.

why don't you fuse everything together? come up with a musical play where everyone can dance and sing and you can also showcase it as a fashion show with a twist. having them all in one show will showcase everything within the scope of the performing arts. the music and the lightings is part of the performing arts. here you can show the best that you can show to all aspects of the performing arts. break a leg!

i know you will get the idea because if you did not then you are missing the point of you being a professional performing artist. think of it like "fame" or "high school musical". go get 'em mickie and do not forget to keep me updated as to what happened after the performance. again for luck, break a leg!

We had Buckets & Tap Shoes on campus last semester. They were amazing, a bunch of crazy guys that had learned tap (and were REALLY good at it), all were percussionists (they played mostly on plastic paint buckets), and did some singing/rock band stuff, along with some comedy. It had a little bit of everything, and they were incredibly talented. I hope that applies to what you need, or inspires you in some way!
